> 3 dayA little too shiny as I was looking for matte black. Kind of clunky and unrefined in appearance. While I was looking for heavy and good quality, this just looks clunky to me. I didn’t install it so cannot speak to function.

Greater than one weekVery happy! Nice quality and it looks very elegant.. I bought kwikset for the back and front door as well, to be able to use only one key for all of them is definitely a plus and very convenient!

> 3 dayI just bought this (April 22) from Home Depot for $54 ($10 more than Amazon price) after a lengthy and frustrating search for a keyed entry lever door lock for my front door. I tried about five locks bought online. The problem was inadequate or incorrect detailed information about the locks. A pain. So I said the heck with it and went to Home Depot where I could actually see the locks. They had a good selection and I bought this one. Installation was easy, and it looks nice and works fine. I checked the Kwikset website and this new version is the one thats on there (and the one I bought). I havent found any of the criticisms others have made like sagging handles. It has a good, tight, solid feel when turning the lever. Also, per Amazons notes, this just became available less than a year ago (July 21) so presumably it is improved somehow over the old model, possibly, for example, curing the reported sagging handles problem. With all the searching, what I was really looking for was comfort in using the levers, and this one is good in that regard. Other fancier styles from other companies looked nice but were thinner and curvy, digging into your hand when used. Id still prefer a round lever for comfort, but this one is ok. I like the lock in all respects, and the top ANSI/BHMA ratings are reassuring. But Kwikset should include an extra strike plate with a larger opening in case the existing screw holes dont allow the opening of the strike plate that comes with it to accommodate the latch when closing. Or just one strike plate with elongated screw openings so it can be positioned when installing to slide to whatever position is necessary to allow the latch to enter it when closed.

Greater than one weekThe lever looks nice and is of good quality but after using for a year or so here are some negatives, the lever handle does not stay horizontal, its always sagging down a bit and looks off. The other issue is the base/mount has to be straightened every so often since no matter how snug you tighten the screws, it will start to tilt over time and being a square base its noticeable when its not on straight.

> 3 dayWe built our house 5 years ago. A few weeks back our door lock stopped working. I had to literally cut it off with a pair of blot cutters. Right out of the box I could tell the quality of the Kwickset. I followed the instructions and had it installed in 10 minutes and I am not a real handy guy. Its is very quiet and smooth. Much better than the lock we had.

Greater than one weekReplaced a competitors door lever with this one. Took less than 10 minutes to install and re-keyed it to work with my existing keys. The lever is is strong. The design is simple but very sleek. I would buy again.

> 3 dayBought this to replace a broken, builders grade handle. This is 100 times better than the old one. It was also very easy to install. We like it so much that I just bought more to replace all the door handles in our condo.
