it seems to be a spherical lens, so you really need to be looking through the center or its fuzzy, but otherwise it seems to be of good quality

What really makes this magnifier great is the light. Really helps read small print without having to hold what you are reading under a lamp. Uses 2 AA batteries that seem to last a long time (at least for me). Very happy with this purchase. I bought extras as gifts for friends birthdays & they all love them.

This product is so good. The glass is very clear it’s not like other ones. I’ve tried that scratch up.
