Makita XLC02ZB 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Vacuum, Tool Only

I use it in my studio for quick clean-ups around various in-progress projects. Its great to have in between bigger cleaning projects requiring more powerful vacuum. I like having it for its convenience. I wish to attachment size was more universal, to use other vacuum brushes I have laying around, but oh well.

I have a German Shepherd whose sole purpose in life is to generate loose fur. This thing helps keep her fur-drifts down between dragging out the Shark for deep cleaning sessions. The 2ah batter that comes with it is adequate, but I swapped it into my tool bag and put one of my spare 5ah batteries on this unit. The run time is greatly improved, and it seems to run at a little higher RPM with the bigger pack. Do yourself a favor and order a spare set of the cloth filters. Its a pain to clean the one that comes with it when youre in a hurry. I put the dirty ones in a zip-up lingerie bag and run them through the wash with my towels

With a 4 amp battery, this vacuum will go a long time. The dust cup is easy to clean and the tool is balanced about right. Good suction. Sadly, my wife has seized possession of this vacuum. Overall, this is a keeper.

I can not say enough about this broom /vacume. It has changed my life . Its slightly and small.ot fits anywhere. The auction is unbelievable. Its got super suction . I bring it up and down stairs with ease . The white tile bathroom has never looked better . I can grab it for any little crumb in the kitchen, my kitchen floor had never looked better. I really am so happy I bought this . It works on all types of floors. The dog rips apart her toys and it even picks up all the dog toy fluff . I recently purchased a new Mikita drill and impact driver and noticed this handheld vacuum. My wife has been looking for a small cordless vacuum so I grabbed this with the idea I will have extra batteries that we could share. She wanted a small cordless for touch up jobs around the house that don’t need the big floor vacuum so we gave this a try and wow pretty impressed. For its size it really does a decent job much better than we expected. Noise level it is a little higher than a cordless drill so not too loud. Battery life seems really good as well. I picked up a spare 4.0 Ah battery to share between the Makita tools we have and the battery is still showing full after several uses. So if you have any Makita cordless tools this would be a good addition to your arsenal. It is great for quick cleanups or in between using the large floor vacuum. The floor attachment works well on hardwood floors and carpet.

I have hard floors and pets. Sweeping up the fly away fur was tiresome. This is a much better solution. It doesn’t clean rugs very well, though. I bought the cyclonic attachment and consider it a real plus because it helps prevent clogging of the filter with fur. The description on the 2 amp battery said that lasts 13 minutes per charge, but I don’t find that to be accurate at all. I can vacuum the whole house with power to spare. The unit is a bit heavy, so I wouldn’t want a bigger battery anyway. I took off a star because I think Makita overcharges for replacement batteries. It is good though that replacement batteries are available so that this can be used for a long time.

Great product, and price, would definitely recommend

Thought we could buy a hand held rechargeable in the $35 range, and you can. Talked to a couple of friends who shared stories of battery failures, broken components that are not available for replacement on the budget models. THIS VACUUM IS AWESOME! As I already own many 18v LI battery Makita tools and batteries, it was the logical choice. Most of our floors are hardwood and this vacuum does an outstanding job cleaning up after our three Westhighland White terriers and a ginger cat. Very light and maneuverable, will access many places our ac powered vac wont go. Wont replace our ac vac for our deep pile carpeted areas where a beater bar is a must.
