This is what I have been looking for to augment my HomeKit setup without breaking the bank. I have other Meross indoor plugs and bulbs and although they are cheaper than alternatives, in my experience they work equally as good or even better. The device is a lot smaller than I had anticipated but works like a champ. Setup was effortless and connectivity to HomeKit is superb. I don’t really care about this since I only control the device remotely, but there is only one button for both switches - so something to consider for those who like to occasionally use the physical buttons. Also the rubber covers for the plugs may interfere with plugs that are a little bit larger, but I was able to tuck mine aside. The pictures look like both outlets are covered up on the house outlet but it’s actually the outlet cover that needed to be flipped around - once done it only took up one outlet.

I have several Meross products, and pairing this to my home system was simple, in part thanks to the clear feedback given through the light behind the power switch. I was surprised at how nice and compact the unit is, and the flat plug is perfect for my setup. Its great to be able to control either outlet independently, or you can use your preferred home automation software to group both together as one device. My only complaint is the outlet covers. Because of their placement and shape, they get in the way if you are trying to plug in two heavy duty outdoor power cords. Fortunately they are made of a soft silicone type material, rather than hard plastic, so they can be pushed out of the way or compressed, but it might require a little dexterity. Since they are IP44, they should be allowed to hang down so rain does not enter the outlet.

Great value for the money. Have used this brand in other applications. Highly recommend this for Christmas light controls.

Ive had this product for just over one year. I had to reconfigure my Apple HomeKit network and this plug needed to be reset. Unfortunately the QR code had worn off and I threw away the original box. I contacted Meross and Rosé took care of everything. I got the correct setup code and even a new image of the QR code to store in case this happens again. Overall, a great product and fantastic service!

Love: - So easy to set up. Set up in less than 5 minutes, literally. Make sure its connected to a 2.4 GHz network. - Compatible with all smart devices (Alexa/Google/Homekit/SmartThings) - Waterproof - while I didnt soak it in water, it survived two rain sessions! - Multiple plugs and can control each one in the app/by voice Dislike: - While I appreciate the light indicator that its on, I wish it had a light for each plug. However, I can see it easily through my Google Home/Meross app. - If unplugged when turned on, the app still shows as its on as it lost its WIFI signal Overall, it does exactly what I wanted, works well, and again, so easy to set up. This will be perfect for all of our decorations for the upcoming holidays.

This is my third outdoor plug. I have them set up to turn lights on and off at sunset and sunrise.

Overall this smart plug is a win! I like how it has the plug covers to keep the plugs from allowing too much water, condensation, or general outdoor dust from going into the plugs. While you can’t really hide the plug anywhere, it’s big, the functionality makes up for it. I didn’t realize each plug was independent from each other. In the Home app, you can toggle each one. This will be nice for our Christmas lights. I’ll be able to turn them on or off while at work. You set up the device directly in the Home app, really simple. However, there is also a Meross app that will update the firmware of the device. The only concern was this device only supports 2.4GHz WiFi. I default to 5GHz, so I had to temporarily switch my iPhone to my 2.4GHz network to set it up.

Usually, HomeKit devices are trivial to set up. This one was just weird. But once I got it working, it has been bulletproof. A good device at a great price, as long as you’re willing to fiddle a bit to begin with.

Product worked great for the first few months, but then suddenly I would get the “this accessory is not responding message” every time I would open Apple Home kit to use. After reconnecting, it works for about 5 minutes then it is unresponsive again. Maybe it’s an issue with Apple Home and not the device, however, I run into issues using the Meross app, too so seems like it’s a deck code issue. Great when it worked, but it usually doesn’t and not worth the hassle of having to reconnect every time I want to turn the outdoor string lights on.
