> 3 dayWe utilize this for some outdoor lighting and I love that it has two outlet plugs. Not only do we use this all year, but we also use it for christmas lighting. Has never given any issue, even in -30F weather! Highly recommend.

> 3 dayIve been getting into Homekit so I bought 3 of these to replace a different non-Homekit brand Ive been using for years. I have one thats completely outdoors (up against the wall) to control a landscape lighting transformer. These are IP44 rated so they can take some splashing but they should still be somewhat protected if possible. I have another out in a shed and another in the garage. All working flawlessly for several weeks in a wide range of weather conditions. Although not always useful since you might not have two things to power separately at the same location, I really like that the two outlets can be controlled independently from the app or Homekit. One of my uses is synching this outlet to the Meross wall switch that controls the flood lights for my back yard. Even with my flood lights on, there was an area in teh back corner that was still dark. However, I have a shed with power available back there. I installed some new floodlights on the shed and Im powering them through this device. Now when we flip the switch inside the house to turn on our old flood lights the new ones mounted to the shed come on at the same moment as if they were all wired together. I use the second outlet to turn the lights inside the shed on and off since the second outlet is there anyway. Im pleased with these so far and will update should anything change.

> 3 dayI figured I would run into some quirks with the dual/switch outlet, but it was one of the easiest Wi-Fi HomeKit products to setup/install. Would buy again. I used for a fountain, and for the fountain lights each with its own timer/automation.

> 3 dayI’ve spent about 3 hrs getting this setup and I found out the hard way that it does not support WPA3 security. I have about 12 Meross smart light switches and they all support WPA3 so I had no reason to think that this plug wouldn’t. Surprise, it does not. Once I turned off WPA3 on my router the setup completed. I checked for firmware updates and it says that I’m up to date. I turn back on WPA3 and it loses connection to the router. This is probably the issue that most everyone has run into who said that it would not connect to their routers. Edit: A new firmware update to ver 4.1.33 makes this outlet compatible with WPA3. You may have to revert to WPA2 in order to connect to the device and update the firmware and then turn WPA3 back on.

> 3 dayI have several Meross products, and pairing this to my home system was simple, in part thanks to the clear feedback given through the light behind the power switch. I was surprised at how nice and compact the unit is, and the flat plug is perfect for my setup. Its great to be able to control either outlet independently, or you can use your preferred home automation software to group both together as one device. My only complaint is the outlet covers. Because of their placement and shape, they get in the way if you are trying to plug in two heavy duty outdoor power cords. Fortunately they are made of a soft silicone type material, rather than hard plastic, so they can be pushed out of the way or compressed, but it might require a little dexterity. Since they are IP44, they should be allowed to hang down so rain does not enter the outlet.

Greater than one weekThis was very difficult to add to homekit. I did have success with the partner brand “refoss” indoor smart plugs (after forcing our eero network into 2.4ghz mode, adding to homekit (unsuccessfully), updating the firmware in the meross/refoss app, removing, resetting the plugs and then they added to homekit in the home app. I did not have such luck with this meross outdoor plug. I tried resetting the eero network, restarting the phone, ensured I was on 2.4ghz, resetting the plug each attempt, tried scanning the code, entering the code, and kept getting the error “unable to add accessory” “make sure your iPhone is connected to wi-fi, then try pairing again”. I was about to give up then tried adding the plug using the other person’s phone who has access to homekit in the home app. It added on the first try! So, if anyone is having issues adding to homekit, try a different device and try adding with the “primary” user in homekit (the person who first set up the home in homekit) -even if it says all users have the same access and you don’t have trouble adding any other homekit devices.

> 3 dayI now have several of these devices in my HomeKit network. I am slowly replacing other outdoor switches as they are much less reliable, requiring periodic unplugging and replugging to get them to respond again. These Meross outdoor switches stay connected and work as advertised. I dont think I have had a single disconnection with them yet! Once or twice I have had to struggle a bit to set them up initially, but in those situations a second try always worked.
