Greater than one weekThis is a great laptop in every way. Sure, you can get more if you spend more money – a backlit keyboard would be nice – but I understand and appreciate the trade offs that are needed to get you to this price point. Weight and battery life are outstanding, construction is solid, and the pure Microsoft experience is a pleasure.

> 3 dayI bought this item new from Amazon, and I am returning it because it gets very uncomfortably hot if you place it on your lap to work. It may be the case that if your intention is to use it as a desktop, it may be a good choice for you - I do not know. On you it just heats up to the point of discomfort, and then it slows down.

> 3 dayThe things that I like about this laptop: It’s portable and compact. The support team provided unlimited support to get it set up since it lacked directions. The man in support stayed on the phone with me for over an hour to get me set up running. He took me through testing various commands on the laptop. He went through everything by taking me step by step to get completely SET up. He was extremely patient. And he tested everything with me and knew what he was talking about. So kind.

> 3 dayI loved this laptop for 2 years but all the sudden the screen went cloudy/grayed out. This happened with another Microsoft laptop a few years ago that was also a touchscreen. Ill never buy a touchscreen one again. Dont recommend.
