I love this company. Their products are beautiful, well constructed and German…they just make sense. I’m going to be honest here. If you look at the Miele line, all of the first models are suction only. Meaning…there’s no electrical component engaging the telescopic wand or turbo brush. It’s all suction. You need to pay close attention and use a considerable effort keeping the suction at the exact level you need. You can turn a nob, release some in a switch near the handle, or park it for a bit as you get ready to get your octopus suction ready for the next surface. It’s all good if you are young…living in a condo with minimal square footage…and want the German approach to cleaning. You want an electrically driven brush head…period. Unless you live in a marble palace. It’s worth the extra $200-300, no matter what line you take on. The suction is the same. You just want and need some help. If you have crossed over the $400 mark, what’s another $350 or so…get what you want and need. Otherwise, get a mega Kenmore and budget 2-3 in the lifetime of a properly cared-for Miele. I made the mistake and went by budget. Got to the corporate website and look at what you want and need. The filters can be installed and purchased for any model. Get an electric brush and parquet shovel head…and the hand brush for sure. Look at the cost of these things individually. It just makes sense. The bags and filters are superb. Cloth bags. I feel like I’m back in the day. When things were built to last!

This is so easy to handle and maneuver and so quiet. The best vacuum I’ve ever owned. Supposed to be reliable is another reason I hope to be able to count on. I had two Hoovers and the last one was so loud and never liked it with all the flaws it had.

I had my own housekeeping business for 10 years and used many different types of vacuums my clients owned (Oreck, Dyson etc). My absolute favorite hands down was the Miele. I always swore Id get one myself one day. Well, 12 years later I finally broke down and got one. :) Ive never spent this much on a vacuum but I knew it would be worth it!!! Ive been using it for 2 weeks now and let me say....I WISH I had bought one way sooner! I feel my carpets and furniture are actually getting clean now! Buying this I knew it would work for my needs. Our small home is mainly tile with low-pile carpet in 2 bedrooms plus 2 larger rugs. I have no issues with anything except I really wish the cord was a little longer. **Id gone back and forth between the Miele Pure Suction (cheaper) and this one. Im super happy I paid the extra for this as it comes with the 2 brush heads instead of 1.

Not worth the price. Cord too short. Exhaust blows up toward your face. My 40 year old Kenmore was far superior and way way cheaper. Sorry I bought it.

We have used Miele products for 12+ years and love the results! This is the first time I have purchased this model and it is perfect for a household. Prior to this we used them for residential and vacation rental cleaning business. This is the perfect vacuum for around the house and is very easy to move around (we go from upstairs to downstairs with no difficulty), get under furniture, go from carpet to hard floors and back, and get into the corners of things. It is easy to change the attachments and the improvements to the handle and extension are amazing! Like others have stated, the cord is not anything special in length, but for around your personal house, it is simple enough to change to a different outlet. For the quality of this vacuum, the shorter cord length is not much of a compromise. The electrical of these vacuums also hold up well from past experience and the cord can handle a lot of twists and turns. The color is also super fun! We call our vacuum Brainy like Brainy smurf because it is blue. :) Doesnt disappoint and highly recommend!

I love the weight, maneurverability and suction of this vacuum. However, everytime I clean house, I have to cut the pet hair out of the beater of the floor head to pull the hair out. I did not buy the cat/dog model because it was over $200 more and my Kenmore cannister did not have this problem 70% of our flooring is hardwood and the remainder area rugs. I contacted Miele and there solution was to buy a special attachment. I dont want to use a hand attachment to clean my area rugs.

I have had a Miele vacuum before, a used one that I had for about 2 years. When my current vacuum conked out I decided to go with another Miele and love it. My daughter let me use hers when she moved back to NYC. It was about 2 years old when she lent it to me and when she moved back to Seattle, she used it for another 2 years. It is really great on carpets and my my wood floors too.

I wanted a Miele for so long and kept putting off buying one. After my old Mighty Mite died I decided to just go for it and bought this one. I have never loved a vacuum before, but I love this one. Its really lightweight and easy to carry around- its easy to change the attachments without having to bend over and I love that it has a retractable cord. My house is mostly hardwood with some low pile area rugs and it does a great job on both surfaces.

This was a replacement for an old Sears vacuum. We wanted something that didnt weigh much and is capable of doing a good job. Compared to others on the market this fit that bill. Most of Miele stuff is expensive, this item was not. Probably weighs half of what the sears model does so its easy to pull it or carry around and use on stairs. The hose and attachments click together or come apart easily. Ceiling vents are easy to reach even if youre not a tall person. The hose is lightweight but very strong. The suction power is adjustable and on high it is very powerful. The cord retraction is super. The on/off switch is on the canister. Because of its smaller size the attachments couldnt be stored inside the canister. Instead the attachments mount on a rack which is attached to the hose near the base which at first I thought was weird, but it turns out that is actually convenient. The rug attachment is simple and runs on suction power from the vacuum as opposed to having its own motor. It is superb on carpet. The Miele bags are thick, adequate size and come with replacement filters should you need them. This vacuum is a testament to German engineering.
