> 3 dayI have purchased power pigtails before for hooking up cameras and LED strips. Last time I got some that looked heavy duty, with thick insulation but turned out to have 22 gage wire which was a pain to solder and in some cases to light to handle the current. Not the case with this product. These wires are 18 gauge, tinned and easy to connect with solder or screws. They are heavy enough to handle a lot of current (I expect the connectors will fail before the wires). Buy these, you wont be disappointed.

Greater than one weekI was using these for low voltage solar. The 1st set (purchased early Aug) held up well no issues, Purchased a second set (late august) and the connectors are getting hot. Looking at the interior of connector, they are made differently. Would not recommend for more then 2 amps now. They state good up to 5. @ 2.5A 12V they connector was hot and outer portion was getting very soft.

Real Thick 18AWGReal 18AWG vs Common 22AWG, real 18AWG are bigger wire than other 22AWG pigtails, as it has heavy gauge with 43 pcs 0.14 mm 100% copper strands inside one cable, total 86 pcs 0.14 mm copper strands inside the two Red / Black cables. This makes the difference when using with bigger power supplies, and allows them to be used for higher current devices, they should be good to 5A or even a touch more with real 18AWG. |

This 18AWG DC Power Pigtail provide a very good reliable DC power connection.

You may connect extra Battery pack with this cable or for CCD Camera installation.
