> 3 dayI have a 12V <4.8A load (double-checked via multimeter) running through these, and the female connector seems fine, but the male connectors heat up significantly and cannot handle the load. These are not 18 gauge.

This 18AWG DC Power Pigtail provide a very good reliable DC power connection.

You may connect extra Battery pack with this cable or for CCD Camera installation. Most dome- or bullet-style surveillance cameras come with a short power cable but need a patch cable to connect to a power supply.
