Just bought my first Mora. Chose the Garberg. I like full tang and carbon steel. Bought the ferro rod survival attachment later. The Garberg is everything I thought it would be. Strong knife and handles well. Sharp out of the box, but needs a touch up after some use. Got the Eldriss the next week. Handy knife razor sharp.

Solid knife. Super sharp out of the box. The polymer grip seems to hold well in my hand. Works well with ferro rod. I purchased the multi sheath. I was a little concerned on how it may hook up to my pack and questioned how easy I could transition it to my belt but it seems to do well. Knife blade is good. No nicks out of the edge that I can appreciate with a magnifying glass. Havent really had a chance to use it yet so four stars so far. Will put in a review after use.

Sharp right out of the box. Did some batoning and feather sticks. Works great. Feels a little awkward pulling out of sheath but may be a learning process. A good portion of the handle is down into the sheath so I can’t get a full grip on it out of the sheath.

One of the finest knives Ive ever had the pleasure of using. Good weight, and good feel to it. I feel like I could be put into any situation and have a fighting chance with this by my side. And the included equipment that you can use to mount it to your belt or backpack ensures that it will stay by your side.

This is by far the best bushcraft/ survival knife that I have ever had. It has a thick 1/8 carbon steel blade that is absolutely razor sharp. The Scandinavian grind is widely considered the best profile for bushcrafting. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and keeps that edge no matter what you do with it. Sharpening is easily done with a standard whetstone, but Ive never had to do anything other than stropping it with an leather strop containing a honing compound. 5 passes on each side and it will once again split hairs. The spine of the Garberg has been ground to a perfect 90 degrees. This edge allows you throw massive sparks from a ferro rod, and the fact that its carbon means you can even strike a flint for sparks. The spine is so sharp that you need to actually be careful rubbing your fingers against it. This is also a full-tang knife, meaning the metal blade extends all the way through the handIe. The tang actually sticks out of the back of the handle enough that you can strike your ferro rod with it. Thats how I strike mine so that I dont get the spine marred or discolored. The handle is plastic, but not a cheap plastic. It feels solid and heavy in the hand and is slightly soft if you press a fingernail into it. The handle also has no hot spots where it rubs against the hand. You can slice, carve, poke, drill and baton with the Garberg. Basically, this knife checks every box that a bushcrafter looks for. Blade, grind, material, and comfort. The sheath is a tough plastic with retention. It can be mounted basically anywhere and can even attach it to M.O.L.L.E. gear. If you research bushcraft knives, you will find that only the very best have the features that the Garberg has, but you will pay $200 plus for them. To get these features in a knife at the $100 range is absolutely unheard of. Do not hesitate to buy this knife. You will not regret it ever. This is a knife that I will pass down to my son, and he will pass it down to his. I would give the Garberg Carbon six stars if it were possible.

Excellent quality for the money! Highly rated for Bushcraft, camping or any other outdoor activity in which a sharp, full-tang sheath knife would be needed. It’s a great knife.

Did not come sharp, I had to spend about 1 hour working on the edge to make it sharp. I think this is the first Mora Ive bought that wasnt sharp out of the box. These are still great knives, I held out from buying a Garberg for a long time because I thought they looked cheap. I finally got a stainless model for a low price and as soon as I held it I realized it is a well made knife, I immediately began looking for a carbon model and bought it, it didnt come sharp but it is still a well made knife with a lot of carry options.
