Ive had this knife for about six months. I use this knife for just about everything in the kitchen. It stays sharp and the grip is great for wet hands. When its time to take a camping trip, I grab this knife and it goes into the pack. The provided sheath is great and offers drain holes so that you dont retain water in it. Well made and the blade keeps an edge well.

Great knife for the money. Good stainless steel and comfortable plastic handle. Sheath has positive snap retention. Made in Sweden!

Moras are a great choice for a survival/camping knife on a budget in general. The orange Kansbol has now become my new go-to for carrying in the woods, beating out some of my favorite knives like the Esse 3 and the good old wood-handled Buck 119. These knives may be superior in design, materials and aesthetics, but the Kansbol is strong, low maintenance, utilitarian, no frills and economical. The blade came out of the box beautifully sharp, so sharp I could shave hairs off my arm with it like it was a razor. The rubberized handle is thick, has good grip and feels like it will stick in your hand under pressure. I like that it is stainless steel and won’t rust, but we’ll see how it keeps its edge. I have yet to use it enough to the point where it’s dull, but it shaved all the bark off a small tree and made tinder with no signs of damage. The rubber handle and stainless steel also makes me feel this would be a great knife if you we out at sea or rafting. A few design quirks are what really make the knife special for me. The first is that it has a sharp, 90 degree angle that is perfect for striking on a ferro rod to start a fire. Second, I like that the blade is thick at the spine but tapers to a thinner blade at the end to allow for fine cuts. Finally, my personal preference is for the orange color which would be easy to see in the environment of my area, but not visible some animals, like deer, which I have heard do not see red or orange. The orange is a subtle tone, however, not fluorescent, so it could get lost in autumn leaves. Now, maybe you want to get the Terävä Jääkäripuukko, which is only slightly more expensive, but I prefer this design over all. It would be even more impressive if the Kansbol was full tang, it is partial tang. It also may be a stronger blade if it was carbon steel. For my purposes however, not intending to baton with this knife or anything, this is a better tool for light duty work. On a long week in the woods, I would bring the Kansbol and a bigger, heavier chopper like the Becker BK9 or the Esse Junglas as a companion. Overall, very happy with all qualities found in this one knife.

This is a sharp, well made knife. The scabbard is nice as well...keep the knife safe while transporting it.

This knife has the best spine for striking a fire steel that I have ever seen. The blade came shaving sharp and the handle is pretty much perfect for its intended use.

I love Mora knives, most however only fit one way in the sheath. Us leftys have to wear and draw the knife backwards - common with many fixed blade knives. This Mora fits in the sheath either way so you can wear it correctly on your left side. The blade has a dual grind. The back half works well for heavy carving, and the front half works well for slicing (including food prep). It is sharp right out of the box. The sheath is plastic with a leather loop to wear it on your belt. The knife spine is a true 90* so it works as a striker for any ferrocerium rod. The handle is composite plastic (2 types) which fits the hand well and gives good grip. I use this knife several times a week and it always does what I ask of it. For the price point it may be the best knife on the market. If you dont expect it to split oak trees in half, you can hardly go wrong with this knife.
