The ferro rod left much to be desired. Replaced it with an exotac fire rod and now I’ll be taking this everywhere with me outdoors.

Good sturdy blade. Going to be a good camp and adventure knife. The sheath is great too. Many options to mount or carry knife.

I love Mora knives, most however only fit one way in the sheath. Us leftys have to wear and draw the knife backwards - common with many fixed blade knives. This Mora fits in the sheath either way so you can wear it correctly on your left side. The blade has a dual grind. The back half works well for heavy carving, and the front half works well for slicing (including food prep). It is sharp right out of the box. The sheath is plastic with a leather loop to wear it on your belt. The knife spine is a true 90* so it works as a striker for any ferrocerium rod. The handle is composite plastic (2 types) which fits the hand well and gives good grip. I use this knife several times a week and it always does what I ask of it. For the price point it may be the best knife on the market. If you dont expect it to split oak trees in half, you can hardly go wrong with this knife.

I wanted something in a Mora that could be just as at home in the kitchen drawer in the sheath dry and clean as out in the field. The Kansbol fits the bill like a glove. It came RAZOR sharp. The thinner point allows for precision cuts , working with meat or vegetables, plenty strong enough for light batoning making kindling and shavings. Easy to sharpen on a flat ceramic stone or hone with a DMT rat tail fine red diamond rod by eye, or round ceramic rod. Stays in the sheath, its not just going to fall out on you. Any negative would fall to the color, IMHO it needs to be a brighter safety orange in case of loss for field work, but I have paracord, no deal breaker there. Finish was a tad rough but hey its a Mora. I mean you are going to hone it, clean it , polish it if need be with something right? Semichrome, Flitz, RENWAX...wash it, dry it, food grade mineral oil, wipe down and store. I like it better than the Companions (I know right? Blasphemy) Great tool for the price. Theres a red one out now, when it hits Amazon I may pick it up too!

Great knife for the money. Good stainless steel and comfortable plastic handle. Sheath has positive snap retention. Made in Sweden!

You wont find a better value from any other knife manufacturer - Morakniv is truly THAT GOOD. The Morakniv Kansbol is no exception to the brands excellent reputation and lineup. With a 2.5mm thick Sandvik stainless steel blade, this is a lot of knife for not a lot of cash. The scandigrind blade edge is very easy to resharpen even for those of us who just plain suck at sharpening their blades (like myself). Unfinished top edge serves as a striking surface for the included flint stone. Along with the knife itself, this set comes with a sheath, flint stone, leather belt loop (removable from the sheath), and a short length of paracord. The knife is extremely comfortable, and the handle fits into my small handles effortlessly to provide excellent grip and control. Unbeatable value for the quality you get. You cant go wrong with the Kansbol, or any other Morakniv at that. They last a lifetime and never let you down.

If you are just getting into bushcraft or prepping this is the knife for you! this knife can do almost everything as well as being budget-friendly, from craving feather sticks to batoning it will not let you down. Yes, you can spend 100s on a knife that will perform these tasks but if you are like me I would rather spend the money or other gear this knife gives you that option. I have bought three of these and put one in each of my bags and will be buying my wife and kids one as well. I like the idea that I can put this knife in my bag or car and forget about it until its needed without breaking the bank.
