> 3 dayI have the knife system on my backpack with the Molle mount system and it is very convenient. Morakniv is the best value and best made cutlery in my opinion. Never disappoints.

> 3 dayI just got this so I havent used it out in the wild yet. I plan to bring it on day hiking trips (where Ill hopefully never actually have to use it for anything major) and camping. I like the included firestarter, which is mounted onto the knife sheath. Its nice to have both survival tools in one place. Its a fixed blade so overall its kind of long, but due to the blade being some kind of light plastic, it actually weighs noticeably less than a good quality folding pocket knife, so it wont add much weight to your pack. The color is more subdued orange than in the photos, but still stands out as it should. Before choosing this knife, I read about other Morakniv knives and they are all favorably reviewed. I have no doubt this knife will last me a long time.

Greater than one weekThe knife comes sharp. Not as sharp as you can get it with a bit of work on a whetstone, but good enough to cut paper without much resistance. The MOLLE attachment process could be better, and I do worry that it will come detached easier than Id like, but it hasnt been a problem so far.

> 3 dayI am no knife expert, but I do have a handful of pocket and short-bladed utility type knifes (kabar, etc.) When I saw this on Vine, I thought it might make a nice addition to my hiking backpack or camping-gear box. I hadnt heard of Morakniv, but did a little research and learned they make quality knives, made in Sweden. So far, Im very impressed! The clamshell packaging it came in is nice enough... nothing super special. I wish it was a tiny bit nicer, considering how nice the knife is, and so it would make a better gifting experience. But its fine. But once I pulled out the knife and had it in my hands, it felt GREAT. You can just tell its nice quality immediately... the grip is a wonderful size and features a grippy rubber material, and the blade is stout and just feels like a real TOOL that will not only cut well, but pry like a champ and stand up to whatever you throw at it. Weight is perfect - heavy enough to feel solid and quality, light enough to carry easily. Nicely balanced. Really, really nice overall, and I feel like it will LAST. Kind of reminds me of the very nice scuba diving knife my dad used to have. The sheath also seems nice. Its a hard plastic that seems durable, and the knife gives a gentle click as the rubbery grip slips into position. I dont think it would ever slip out. The belt loop is a generous size and features various holes/slits for alternate attachment. The firestarter is a great bonus that adds some functionality that might come in VERY handy someday, without hampering the everyday function of the sheath. The sharpener is another great bonus. A lanyard is included, and it seems fine; not sure if Ill use it. The only question I have is value; not compared to other, cheaper brands - I think you are getting a big bump in quality and design with Morakniv, compared to cheapo blades - but compared to Moraknivs own knives! Their Companion model is highly rated and super duper cheap - you might want to look into that if the size/build/survival aspects of this knife arent necessary for you. But overall, this knife really impressed me and I would definitely look to Morakniv if I needed a new knife in the future. Ill be carrying this with me a lot on hikes/backpacking trips now for sure. Recommended!
