Motion Pro 08-0519 BeadPro Tire Bead Breaker and Lever Tool Set

Several of my friends and a few family members have dual sport motorcycles and all of us have the same setup of tools, gear, and these tire levers. Ultra lightweight and well made. Bomber.

I have dismounted / mounted 5 tires with these Motion Pro 08-0519 BeadPros so far. At $35 per mount at a bike shop, they have more than paid for themselves. They provide great leverage and are easy to use. The bead breaker function works amazingly well. After a few bites, the bead pops right off. I have the shorter length. They are more than sufficient, but I can see where the longer ones would be worth the extra money. Would absolutely recommend.

The tire iron works great for small motorcycle tires but it would not break the bead on the rear tire of my tiger 800. They also did not have enough leverage to remove the tire from the rim. I should have bought the bigger steel set. I wish I could have gotten them to work.

Shipped quickly, fair price, below what other outlets are charging. Although I havent used these breaker beads I have no doubt this tool set will work. Quality metals, light weight, heavy duty design. Would highly recommend for Adventure Touring when you need to change or repair a tire when the nearest garage is 200 or more miles away.

Ive had these for a few months and everything I read about them is first rate. They are well made and sure look as though they will do the job. Fortunately, I have not had the occasion to have had to use them, and it will not bother me in the slightest if I never do !

Despite having only these to change tires and never doing it before they got the job done! Easy and intuitive to use!

Stop reading and just buy them. They do exactly what they are advertised to do. The construction of these tools looks to have had a lot of thought put into it. They are strong and light. I put a tremendous amount of force on them while dismounting my VStroms rear tire and at no time did I feel at risk from them slipping or breaking. The inner bead area on the tire wasnt so much as scratched and as the headline says, this was my first time ever working on my bike. They were plenty long to get the leverage I needed to do the job, but not so long as to get in the way. Also the compact size of these will make it easy to store them on my bike for roadside emergencies. I was really impressed how well the bead break function worked. I wrapped the spoon end with a rag to protect my hands and began working the tool. I chose spots about 4 apart on my rim and just continued to press a little, spot by spot, with a little Windex for lubes, until 1/3 of the way around the bead started slipping down in to the tire. Flipped the tire over and repeated the process. The spoon part did well on gripping the bead and this is where a longer tool might have been an issue. I was able to get the end of tool lower than the bead because the tool was short enough to miss the hub. I also strongly recommend the Motion Pro rim protectors. I used them as a part of this process and had I not, my powder coated mags would have chewed up pretty bed.
