> 3 daySome time ago I did my first tire change on my motorcycle. It took me almost 6 freaking hours to get those tires off the rims and install them back! Then I decided to invest some money in proper tools as no way I would allow to spent so much time on the trail. So I did. With this tool it took me 30 minutes to do the same operation one more time for both tires. This tool is not made of steel but rather of some sort pretty tough metal (not allow I think) so its lightweight enough to keep it with me while riding all the time. Highly recommend it to all DIY mechanics who prefer to do their tire change on their own! It will save a lot of time!

> 3 dayIm unable to get enough leverage/separation with this tool on my KLR650 tires (front or back). It will pull the bead away, but not enough to retain some space when I pull it out and move it around the rim. The bead goes right back into place when I remove it. Therefore, still have to carry a 5 c-clamp to break & hold the bead, then I use this tool to work the bead off around the rim. Maybe its the geometry of my rims, but this isnt my primary bead break tool for trail riding. Tool is built very strong, but cant rely only this tool.

09-04-2025If you debating if the smaller aluminum ones are strong/long enough for your needs. They are. I have broken 17in street tires, 21/18 dot dirt tires (D606), 19/16 dirt tires, 19/16 dot dirt tires (hard side walls) and the hardest yet for some reason a 18in sand tire using the smaller version. I have broken beads using the kickstand method, the 3 spoon method and straight up jumping on it and I would much rather have these. They dont work very well as tire spoons though. They could work in an emergency as spoons but I have a real set of spoons I bring with me as well because these suck as spoons.

Greater than one weekIve been skeptical about buying a set of these for a few years now. Ive always carried a 6 C-clamp on my Adventure bike to break the bead with. It worked but was heavy and I still had the additional tire irons. After reading several varying reviews I took a chance. Im not overly experienced but only once have I not mounted my own tires in 40 years. I removed my rear Hedienau Scout tire on my 1200 GSA that had 11K miles on it. To my surprise they worked simply and perfectly. No muss no fuss. They are a little scratched up now but then so is my bike. Bottom line they worked perfectly for me.

> 3 dayWorks as advertised, sort of. The breaker end is not easy to insert between the tire and rim, you may scratch the paint on an alloy Wheel; it should be a bit wider. Spraying some lubricant solution (soapy water or window cleaner, or any liquid you have...) in the gap as you go will help. Light weight, feels strong.
