> 3 daySo I ordered this since I wanted a backpack style carrier, but didnt feel like paying 250 for one. I was bit hesitant on this, since it was advertised for small birds and I have a Timneh African gray, but my fears were unfounded since this is more than large enough for him (for better sizing, see the photos above). Ill be honest, I was expecting something kinda cheap in build, but I will say I was delighted to be proved wrong. Right out of the box, everything was neatly packaged in a really good quality case. Thats right, the carrier came with its own carrying case which easily fits the carrier and all its parts. As a little aside, the case has a little card attached with contact info for the manufacturer letting you know you can contact them for damaged, defective or missing parts, if you have any issues in setting up or just to let them know if you have ideas to improve it. I dont often see that from sellers on amazon, and it was really nice touch that left me with a good feeling about this manufacturer. Actually getting the carrier out and set up took about 10 minutes total. The directions werent super easy to follow, but honestly you hardly need them, its zip a few things up and slide in the tray. Again, build quality was really impressive here. The main zippers are cleverly protected on the inside from any naughty beaks ( a blessing, my bird loves zippers). The whole carrier feels really sturdy and well made. The mesh feels strong, the fabric firm, the zippers solid metal. The covers for the mesh all have solid, smooth backings. I tried it on, and as a backpack, it was actually fairly comfortable and stable, I could see myself walking around with it very easily. The side strap wasnt quite as comfortable, but I have very slim shoulders so I think that was more of the issues. Actually I think my only suggestion for improvement would be tucking the zipper for where the tray enters, and maybe adjusting the carrier so it fits better for those without broad shoulders. Other than that, an excellent product that I whole-heartedly recommend.

> 3 dayThis carrier is awesome. It is fairly comfy for the wearer, and both of our birds seem to like it (we have a blue fronted amazon and a green cheek conure). Both birds have plenty of room. It has convenient strap options and the cutest little food bowl. The only thing that would make it better is a water bottle. I haven’t found the right one for this bag yet. So far the birds have gotten to go to work and on a bike ride/picnic. Best travel “cage” ever!

> 3 dayI bought this carrier because of the price, very good idea and close copy to the real bag of Celtei-Pak-o Bird. The major issue is the plastic cover that has the bag, because of the birds oils in its feathers I think it makes it cloudy and yellow overtime the plastic part. Even though I clean it with a wet cloth did not improved. I sent an email and pictures to the company, they never followed up or returned my money back. Invest those $99 dollars in the real thing. I am planning to buy the Celtei- Pak-oBird in the future but wasted $99. Hope reading this review will help someone to save their money.

Greater than one weekI have a Blue Crown conure and we went on a walk. He really was scared because it was quite dark inside his backpack. He calmed down a little but he wasnt happy being inside. By the time we were done with our walk I was in a lot of shoulder and back pain just from going around our block. Im 54 and not even petite, just average build. I had to return it, which Im glad I was able to do. I had emailed the company saying I was missing a small part, asked what kind of metal the bowl/grate are and provided product feedback for improvements. I was surprised I never heard back. The backpack is well made and very sturdy but definitely not light. Hopefully this helps someone.

Greater than one weekI bought this for my daughter’s conure. It can be used as a bird car seat for safe transport. My daughter loves to take her parrot with her into town where a lot of places are pet friendly. It’s also good as a temporary cage for an overnight visit.

> 3 dayWell made and worth the $$ in comparison to the other one at three-times the price. Trying something new with an old bird doesnt always move quickly, esp one whos easily car-sick. My pionus immediately loved his backpack. (I substituted the stock dowel rod for a thicker rope perch for a softer & easier grip for his old feet.) He will actually ask to get up it in, whether we go somewhere or he just sits in it. I hang it over the headrest so he can see out while we travel, it sits well in shopping carts and comfortable on the back. The bottom tray is easy to pull out and clean. The only reason for 4 stars, not 5: I only wish the water bottle holder was higher. The hole is flush with the perch putting the bottle nozzle angling down, almost 2 below the perch. Not a safe position while traveling to drink from. Well be taking our 1st multiple-week car-camping trip soon and know that hell be comfortable roosting with the flaps down.
