> 3 dayI purchased the large bp. The bp is very well made. I was, however, disappointed that the depth was off by abt 2 inches...10 instead of 12 inches. I ordered the large so the bird would fit in comfortably because of his tail. Im not sure if the other large bps are incorrectly sized, too. If so, perhaps, a correction in the advertising should be made.

> 3 dayEasy to assemble, looks like a good quality. However, its perfect for small birds. it does Fit an African grey or an amazon double yellow head parrot but only short distance transportation ie vet visit or taking parrot to a close park. If traveling for hours, it would definitely be too tight and stressful for medium size birds. Would like to see an improvement on the mesh area, the sides. Its easy for birds to break or bite them off. Im thinking to remove it and put a steel mesh instead(extra cost) The perch rotates easily. I tried to add a bigger rubber piece to hold the perch tightly, its better, but still moves and that causes less stability for the bird standing on it. I would love to see improvements on these issues and definitely it would go from 3 stars to 5.

> 3 dayHis head cant go any higher, and his tail cant go any lower. In fact, we only put paper in bottom tray without the grate or his tail drags. We were kind of discouraged when we first got this carrier because it stated the perch is 1 diameter when its really 1/2. I noticed theyve since changed that info. But we liked the carrier so much we decided it was worth customizing a perch. Also the wire that attaches the food dish was about 1/8 too short. They kindly replaced it and also gave us $10 back because of the mislabeled perch size. Company was excellent to deal with. We put in our own perch finally (pictured) with our own hardware. Perfect now. Only other complaint is that the perch can turn around in the carrier, unless theyve fixed this problem. When we put in our own perch, we also added ahdesive gripper mat pieces cut to size. Solved. If anyone wants to upgrade with their own perch, pictured is the hardware it took. The hanger bolts are a bit troublesome to put in, but heres what I learned. If you use an acorn nut on the end, but first screw on 3 standard nuts (from a package bolt set I had on hand), you can use a drill with socket attachment to screw in the bolt via the acorn nut UNTIL the nut breaks through (theyre weak) then then standard nuts will act as a stop and give you more length so you can continue to screw in until the bolt end and the smooth middle are in the wood, leaving only the machine end of the bolt exposed. Make sure the washers are stainless steel for bird safety! Other hardware can have zinc. First slide on a washer at each end, install perch, slide on another washer at each end on the outside now (adhese rubber backing first), then finish with wing nuts. You can see in the pictures how it looks on the outside, and they dont stick out enough to cause problems.

> 3 dayMy conure likes to go for car rides and this makes it easy. Also she loves attention which this bird-in-backpack setup attracts. The sides have plenty ventilation. I put this on a rollator at the Farmers Market so she can visit all the vendors and greet everyone and she loves it. Non-bird owners ask me about my beautiful bird, but other bird owners ask about this carrier.

> 3 dayIts worth every penny, the one thing I dont like is the perch, feel it could be a bit nicer, and is quite over sized. Everything else is awesome!

> 3 dayOhhh my baby bird LOVES her carrier. She gently held the plastic lip for like 3 minutes straight with utter affection after I took her for a walk around the garden. This opens some mighty doors for our little bird. Shes probably never going to want to see it again after the 2260+ mile trip she has to make in it for our move though lol.
