RaceFace 104mm Single Chain Ring

I used to run a chain guide which was annoying in wet or muddy conditions because it was grind on the chain. No more chain guide required for this. Ive lost my chain 3-4 times in a few hundred miles which is not bad at all in my mind. If you were a racer, it might be a problem but Im ok with it. Also really nice to have a quality chain ring option in a 30T. Allows me to run that one extra gear for the big uphills.

This N-W chainring is exactly what I needed for my Ibis Mojo SL 1x10 build last year. In previous 1x and single-speed builds using normal (not narrow-wide,) rings I have had major issues with chain drops both climbing and descending. So far I havent had a single dropped chain or other problem, and the ring itself looks great on the bike.

I order this chaining because of all the good reviews I have read everywhere!! I have had no issue using this chainring and planning on buying more to have replacement to install once this one wears out. Arrived on time and undamged.. I will never use anything other than a single chaining with chain guide on my mountain bike. I gotten a brand new mountain bike and was plagued with chain coming off in every manner possible. I didnt trust riding my bike for the sake of beine killed. My bikes are very well taking care of so chain coming off wasnt because I was to lazy to do the up keep.

If you want to run a 1x setup, then this is a must have. I converted my 24 speed to a 1x8 with this chainring and had no chain drops even without a clutched rear derailieur. You will still get chain slap, however. I now run it with a Shimano Zee RD and a 10 speed cassette and it works like a charm with reduced chain slap.

This was the perfect ring for my 2x10 to 1x11 conversion.
