> 3 dayAfter the headache of an install onto the ceiling of my garage (tall garage; drywall); these bike racks work wonders. I bought 2 after seeing a neighbor had a similar lift. Thinking itd be good for our bikes I quickly got em and tried to install them (Note tried). It took a little while to figure out the best way to get them onto the garage ceiling, though after the struggle in the install, Im loving the space. They easily lift each bike smoothly and the lock mechanism is simple; just like a window blind. The rope so far has held up though is rough on the hands when sliding through your grip. Overall, these bike lifts are great. They are well worth the hassle of installing them, and some may have an easier time with studs exposed in the garage.

> 3 dayUsed this for hanging my kayak from the garage ceiling. Even though the kayak is 5 lbs. over the 50 limit, it works great.

> 3 dayAssembly was easy. I did purchase hex nuts for easier installation as suggested by others. I have a 10 ceiling and the kit storage seems very secure. My bikes weigh ~35#. While it does require a little strength to pull the ropes I like being able to raise the bikes for storage via the rope pulley vs having to lift them onto a rack. I purchased 2 of the kits and would recommend them to others. Cost was very reasonable.

> 3 dayBought for my wifes bike and loved it so much I ordered a second for mine. A little awkward releasing the lock at times and it helps to pull on the bike to even it out on decent but very long rope (had to shorten dramatically) and solidly built product.

> 3 dayThis ceiling-mounted bike lift is easy to install (ladder required) and very easy to use. Both my wife and our 9yo son can use the lift to easily store and access (retrieve) their bicycles. The lifts get the bikes off the floor and out of the way when theyre not being used. I installed the lifts in the garage so that the bikes are suspended over the hood of my wifes car. If shes home, its easy enough to back the car out a few feet to get the bikes down. If shes not home, and the 9yo wants to ride his bike, he can lower the bike to the floor by himself in less than a minute. The lift installs in less than 10 minutes with a screwdriver; faster if you have an electric screwdriver. One thing to consider when installing is the excess line and storage reel; the line (rope) will run diagonally from the ceiling to the location on the wall where the 2-prong storage reel is mounted. When selecting an installation location, you need to consider where the line from the ceiling to the storage reel will run, to ensure that people dont get clotheslined when walking through the area. This is pretty easy to do; its just important to consider/plan it out before installing the lift. Other than that, its a breeze to install, convenient to operate, and a terrific space saver.

> 3 dayUsed this to hang my Yakama roof carrier inside my garage. Works great and I can easily raise and lower my roof top carrier in the garage. Make sure you mount this to the studs.
