> 3 dayGot this to replace a 5400 rpm SATA in newish ASUS / ROG laptop. O. M. G. Win10 load time dropped from minutes to maybe ten seconds. Programs literally whip open, often in sub-second time / true, honest, real human blink time responses, across the board. This was By Far the single best upgrade, ever, across hundreds of machines (desktops, laptops, servers), spanning decades of time. You will not believe the very real, very very noticeable speed increase.

> 3 dayEasy to install, but Id recommend a fresh install of windows. My read/write speeds were as advertised when installed, but after cloning my OS (using Samsung software) to it they dropped considerably. This was remedied after a fresh install. I would recommend the Samsung NVME driver, but not any of their other software. Use crystal diskmark for your benchmarks. Im taking off a star for Samsung data migration and Samsung magician. I was very worried about thermal throttling. My only M2 slot is located right in between my GPU and my CPU - I had to remove my GPU to install this drive. It gets up to the 50s in temps, but doesnt throttle. Id also recommend purchasing elsewhere. Mine came with a side of the box ripped off and Amazons response was basically not my problem. Not to mention its more expensive here than on other sites. Luckily it appears to be working.

Greater than one weekI feel the speed when Battlefield maps load, when the computer boots, and when opening some applications. The ssd is the size of my finger, and it looks like its part of the motherboard itself. I remember when I had Battlefield 4 on my hard drive, it took like 2-4 minutes to load Siege of Shanghai (a map/level), and by the time I joined, the game was over. While waiting, I would go to the bathroom, pour myself a bowl of cereal, finish the cereal, and then finally it would join the server. Now with this SSD, it takes about 5-10 seconds to load the map. I got so angry when it loaded that fast, because I realized how much time I wasted in my life waiting for levels to load!!!
