> 3 dayThis review is for the Samsung 960 Evo 1TB model Works great! I used the free version of Macromedia Reflect to clone my boot drive - you can create a live USB which allows you to copy your entire boot drive over. Speeds seem to be as advertised. About 4-6x faster than my 840 Evo it replaced. These tests were run while the drive was being used as the main OS drive - so windows may have been using a few %. Keep in mind that the X99 chipset with 6800K CPU has 28 lanes PCIe avaiable. So the SSD has a full 4 lanes all to itself.. Many other popular CPUs like the intel 6700k only have 16 lanes PCIe lanes total. So if youre running at 16x graphics card which most gaming cards are you are then sharing PCIe lanes with the graphics card. Without any direct airflow the temps were up to 60C while running a benchmark. From other reviews online this seems like the expected temp. I prefer things to run as cool as possible so have setup a low speed fan to give it a little extra airflow. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- CrystalDiskMark 5.2.0 x64 (C) 2007-2016 hiyohiyo Crystal Dew World : http://crystalmark.info/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------- * MB/s = 1,000,000 bytes/s [SATA/600 = 600,000,000 bytes/s] * KB = 1000 bytes, KiB = 1024 bytes Sequential Read (Q= 32,T= 1) : 3284.482 MB/s Sequential Write (Q= 32,T= 1) : 1872.129 MB/s Random Read 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 565.858 MB/s [138148.9 IOPS] Random Write 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 460.015 MB/s [112308.3 IOPS] Sequential Read (T= 1) : 2037.224 MB/s Sequential Write (T= 1) : 1782.619 MB/s Random Read 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 45.915 MB/s [ 11209.7 IOPS] Random Write 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 220.752 MB/s [ 53894.5 IOPS] Test : 1024 MiB [C: 22.6% (208.0/920.0 GiB)] (x1) [Interval=5 sec] Date : 2016/12/20 2:12:55 OS : Windows 10 Professional [10.0 Build 14393] (x64)

Greater than one weekSuper fast and great SSD so far. I got a HP ENVY and this fit in perfectly while the drive it came with is used for storage now.

> 3 dayI upgraded from a Samsung 850 EVO (SATA) to this 960 EVO NVMe and couldnt be happier. Speed jumped from 551.6 MB/s sequential read to 2981.7 MB/s (per CrystalDiskMark 6.0.0). Write speed went from 527.0 MB/s to 1581.1 MB/s. So, quite the speed jump. I dont particularly do any tasks that require this sort of heavy lifting, but as Ive built my computer, Ive tried to avoid going overly cheap with what I put in it. At the price (~$120) when I got this, Id say this is a great deal. The Samsung Data Migration tool worked like a charm as well. Very easy and painless process for the Samsung 960 EVO, from installation to cloning. Definitely recommend this product. **edit** Boot up time from pressing the power button to Windows was 30 seconds, including time to screw up my password. Not sure how people get faster times (in general), but this is good enough for me.

> 3 dayMaybe I got a dud but mine failed in the middle of gaming after three weeks. Luckily I was within the Amazon return window but Im very hesitant to get another.

> 3 dayStarted out with less than expected performance ~ 2600 seq read (spec 3200). Write around 1600 Problem was as the days went by it got worse and worse and read speed dropping under 400 and write speeds barely above 1000. Only two weeks installed and returned for a replacement from Amazon. Waiting the replacement to arrive and 3 stars to be adjusted if replacement performs as indicated. Hoping I just got a defective unit. I have multiple Samsung SSDs and this is the first with an issue. ** Updated.** Second Drive arrived and all is well now. Bumped it up a star. Speeds around 2900 read and 1700 sequential write. Still not at full advertised speeds or would have given it 5 stars. At least it is stable. These things seem to be sensitive to temperature so purchased a PCIe 3.0 x4 adapter as well to get max air flow around it with my side case fan blowing right on it to keep it nice and cool. Found speed slightly increasing over the past few days with the adapter.. ** Update #2 Finally I am happy and the drive is performing at advertised speed. Reset Bios and Cleared and Bam !! there it was finally !!
