When I first bought this SSD, I wasn’t expecting much. I figured it was good, but when I finally used it, I realized I had underestimated it. First of all, it is MUCH smaller than it looks in pictures and almost weightless! It’s so portable! It fits into my pant pockets easily and even then, I get scared it’ll fall out since it’s so tiny. Now on performance: I use it for gaming, and store a lot of my games on it. It launches games quickly and there’s no delay anywhere. Transferring files is stupid fast, and it comes with two cables: usb-c to usb-c and usb-c to usb-a. Even when using the USB-A cable, it’s incredibly fast. I would definitely recommend it to gamers and those that travel a lot, since I use this SSD while I’m working overseas. Definitely worth the price!

Reliable, lightweight and easy to use.

I wasnt hip to the SSD storage being so cool these days. It has the same capacity as my old PC mechanical HDD. :-) I was stressing that I got a Galaxy S21 5G with 128 gig because the 256 were out due to the chip supply line situation. Now Im very happy. I dont use the Samsung app. I dont use a password. I just transfer files using a file explorer, CX Explorer. Everything works great. I had a thing where it didnt show the unmount notification in the status bar of S21. I reformated the T5 in the phone and it came back. However theres another way to unmount. Just find the T5 in MyFiles. Hit the 3 dots and unmount.

I have a T3 and it was the best. This T5 is now the best and best value for 1TB SSD around. Sooo tiny, so fast and most importantly, it just works.

Ive been using an earlier version Samsung SSD daily for several years now. It performs the same as my laptops internal SSD. I do audio and video production using Logic and Final Cut Pro and work directly on the Samsung SSD. I needed a second drive to store completed projects, and so I bought the newer T5. How does the new T5 compare with my old drive? Same performance, twice the storage space, half the cost.
