Greater than one weekI love the Accent line of door hardware from Schlage. Ive had them in one finish or another in all my houses for the last 15 years. Dummy, Passage, Keyed, Privacy...even the universal deadbolts. Ive had them all! They are refined and FUNCTION flawlessly. The finishes, however, should ONLY be used indoors! It seems that any of Schlages lacquered finishes simply cannot handle weather. On my first house, we had satin nickel installed on 6 sets of French doors that opened to a pool deck that needed replaced every 2 years. The Lifetime Finish warranty became more trouble than it was worth after the 2nd warranty replacement. I was told I should have waxed my handles often. Sorry... 12 handles and 6 deadbolts just on one side of the house? On next house, we went with aged bronze. These actually did worse and those getting ANY direct sunlight lasted less than 1 year. I ended up stripping off the finish and painting them with Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze Universal paint. Its actually now 2 years into the paint with NO sign of degradation. Yeah, I wont likely be getting any warranty service on them now, BUT, in 15 years Ive never had a mechanical failure! I also still have these throughout the interior of the house and love them. I just really wish Schlage would focus on outdoor durability of their lacquered finish hardware. Ive attached pictures of Satin Nickle passage, deadbolt, and dummy, as well as Aged Bronze passage and deadbolt (as well as what they look like after painting them w/ Rustoleum ORB!)

> 3 dayReplaced the existing door handle and lock with this lockset. I have replaced numerous locksets managing a building, and this has been the easiest by far. The handle was solid material, and the screws lined up easily when assembling. For those of you that have replaced one of these before, getting the screws to line up can be a chore. This was actually simple to install. Would buy again and highly recommend.

> 3 dayBought a few of these for the French doors and closet doors. About half of them are wobbly, which is pretty annoying since they arent turning knobs. The other half are great.

Greater than one weekThe one sided dummy lever was exactly as expected. Matched the passage and privacy units perfectly. I also purchased several of the passage and privacy units. Products appears to be good quality. Very easy to install, I replaced old Kwik-set units. Took only a couple minutes. Had to give the dummy and the passage only one star for both lock feature, and easy to lock, simply because it is a dummy and a passage, doesnt have a lock at all, not intended to lock. So, could not give a high rating for something that does not apply. But the privacy set locks and unlocks perfectly, just as you would expect it to do. All appear to be very good quality. The ones I had to switch sides on, were very easy to do. Schlage includes a tool (which is also the key for the privacy set), making the switch very quick and easy. The privacy set lock lever is a button, rather than a turn knob, so there is no issue like I read about on other manufactures sets being horizontal or vertical when locked or unlocked. Any other advice to others looking to purchase, is to make sure you order what you need, regarding the dummy being left and right, because there is only one lever, so no option to flip or switch it. This was well worth the extra cost, compared to other manufactures.

> 3 dayThis lock was used on my garage entry into the house and it came with a Left Handed installation. That is exactly what I wanted. Very easy to install and it only took five mins. I am a female and thought it would be complicated, but it wasnt. Thank you.

Greater than one weekI rated this lever 4 stars only because I wanted to leave room for something better. Since I didnt buy/install other levers I cant make a general statement as to whether this lever is in the best category. I bought this lever because it seemed to provide good value compared to other levers and, after installing a whole house full, I still have that opinion. If you are considering this lever note that the handle is easily reversible and the same key that unlocks it is the key used to unlatch the handle so you can reverse it. This provides fewer parts and is good design practice. I was replacing existing round knobs and this lever fit in without any modifications to the existing holes or latch. I used the existing screws to attach the levers because the screws that came with the levers were slightly bigger and I didnt want to have problems with threading. I picked the bright brass to replace existing bright brass and it matches exactly. The quality of these levers seems reasonable for the price.
