My door look beautiful

Overall good quality handset that is very easy to install as a replacement for a standard door knob. I purchased 2 sets of these to replace standard door knobs on interior doors. They only took minutes to install. I should note that unlike the door knobs that these handsets replaced, these levers do not operate independently, i.e. turning the lever on one side of the door activates the lever on the other side. The original handleset knobs could turn and actuate the door latch independently. This is probably a meaningless detail but I did take note of it as a design element. There was a slight imperfection on the rim of the bezel of one unit (the small lip that contacts the door had a slight ding in it, i.e. not perfectly round edge, that probably happened during mfg/packing) but was slight enough not to warrant returning for a replacement. The imperfection is not really detectable mounted on the door. Color finish is uniform.

This is the box version F40ACC605 for use with both Left Hand and Right Hand hinge doors. Left or right is determined by which side the hinges are on when looking at the door from the outside. This was preset for a left hand door and easily convertible if right hand. From what I can tell the F40VACC605 is the plastic retail packed version. It comes with a finger pin to reverse the handles, includes the latch, plates, circular latch end piece if yours doesnt use the plate and full instructions. Replacement of my broken old Left Hand style took less than 10 minutes and it works perfectly. the end of the outside handle at the pin hole is slightly different than my original left hand specific brass lever lockset, but most people would not see the difference and it matches perfectly in all other ways. Very sturdy

This is a nice lever/handle. All metal and sturdy, moved with ease but there was no copper color on edges as shown in picture so I opted for a different style/color

I just bought a house that was built in 1970 and it was in a need of a remodel. With 3 young kids, I wanted to replace all the round (and outdated) door knobs with the lever so that my kids could open the door more easily. There are less expensive ones out there, but I insisted on getting Schlage because of their good reputation - and thats exactly what I got. The Amazon prices were great (and my local Lowes would not price match) and with Prime, it was no brainer. They were very easy to install and came with all the screws needed to install. They feel sturdy and precise. Maybe I am weird, but its something you are going to touch daily and I want to have that quality feel, which this one delivers. And it looks beautiful and gave our home a modern look that I wanted. Oh, and you dont have to worry about a left hand or a right hand with this one. You can change it with a little pin that comes with the unit (and with an instruction on how to change. Its really easy).
