Seachem Acid Buffer 300gram

I bought this product based on positive customer reviews because I have a low tech planted tank with very high PH. I lowered the PH from 8+ to 7 and within 2 weeks had a massive algae bloom turning the aquarium to swamp water. Im not sure what I did incorrectly, but was hoping an algae bloom wouldnt be an issue being this is a non-phosphate buffer. I changed out 90% of the water and the water is still cloudy. I really like Seachem products and it lowered the PH, the side affects were not worth it for me. The instructions leave a lot of room for improvement.

The buffer is useless. Ph will rebound very quickly. I read some review and then bought it, please dont mislead buyer.

I use this for my RO water and it is easy to use with accurate directions.

Bought this to try and lower the pH of my small, (300 gal) pond. Used the entire jar within a few days time, and the pH did not drop at all.

This product is a must if your ph levels are high. I used it as directed and within 2-3 days, the levels were down to where they should be.

I learned the hard way not to chase ph anymore if I want my fish alive. Had 18 guppies, now I have 3 left. Had 6 neon tetras... all gone. Most of my 41 fish made it but lost 15 guppies and 6 neon tetras... I used acid buffer and alkaline buffer and followed the instructions. Just don’t do it. I have a 60gallon tank. Now I just used filter water and haven’t had a dead fish since then.
