> 3 dayI bought this product based on positive customer reviews because I have a low tech planted tank with very high PH. I lowered the PH from 8+ to 7 and within 2 weeks had a massive algae bloom turning the aquarium to swamp water. Im not sure what I did incorrectly, but was hoping an algae bloom wouldnt be an issue being this is a non-phosphate buffer. I changed out 90% of the water and the water is still cloudy. I really like Seachem products and it lowered the PH, the side affects were not worth it for me. The instructions leave a lot of room for improvement.

> 3 dayI bought these in 02/17 for Purigen and they both have already disintegrated. Will not buy again.

> 3 dayCombined with the Alkaline Buffer, this did the trick stabilizing the PH in my tank which was constantly crashing. A little goes a long way, so shouldnt have to buy more for quite some time.

> 3 dayIt works! My local tap is very basic (8.2) and though my tetras were living just fine in it I always knew they desired more neutral waters. Sure enough, as I gradually lowered the pH (this product as well as the acid buffer) I noticed more activity and appetite in my fish and they look great!

> 3 dayChanging a large tank from marine to fresh, takes time and help to get the ph down, hope to be ready to add fish at some point, this is making it happen
