Seachem Acid Buffer 300gram

This product is a must if your ph levels are high. I used it as directed and within 2-3 days, the levels were down to where they should be.

I immediately got my exceedingly high pH under control with very little product and minor effort on my part. My tap water is 8.5 and I dropped it to 6.5 for my South American cichlids in a few days with no problems.

I set up my new tank cause of move and went from city water to well water. Couldnt control my kh & ph levels were way too high. This solved the problem just follow directions dont over dose. Start small and increase as you go and buy test strips to check water couple of times a day. Great product. Fish happy Im happy :)

There are very few places and times youd ever want to use a chemical buffer in an aquarium, but if you have to, Seachem is most trusted mainstream brand.

I have given this item a lot of time. I have a new 20 gallon tank which has half RO and half tap water in it and I have been adding 1/4 tsp of this acid buffer everyday for several weeks now. It does lower pH for an hour but it goes back up later on. Every day its the same story. I check right before adding this and the pH reads 8 everyday. Whats worse is that the dKH in my tank is zero now. This acid reacts with the carbonate to form CO2. So it completely reduced the carbonate hardness in my tank but pH is unaffected. I think I will give up changing my pH now using chemicals. Just let the fish acclimate to my tank slowly and hope for the best.

Perfect solution for pH and alkalinity reduction. Unlike pH down products this is a permanent pH adjustment requiring no regular maintenance to maintain pH. I highly recommend, but please use cautiously abrupt significant pH changes are very dangerous for your fish.

Love seachem products, and wont order any other brand.
