When I first received the 4 pack of smart plugs (outlets) 1 was broken. I dismissed it as I only needed 2. They stopped working in 6 months. I cant pair again, cant connect to Alexa, cant access my account. Totally pissed off after 3 weeks of trying. Other Sengled products are responding to wrong names. Nightmare. I have 9 plugs and a bulb adapter. Bulb responds to other names, 4 other plugs are working. All Sengled. All going into garbage. TOTALLY fed up.

I bought these plugs because I wanted ones that didnt need its own app but would connect directly with Alexa. The first plug worked fine but Alexa does not recognize or discover the remaining three plugs. Troubleshooting suggests downloading the Sengled app. Well, thats exactly what I didnt want to do. So unless I can still return them, theyre going to the garbage.

I have Sengled wifi bulbs and am very happy with them. I purposely searched out their WiFi plugs—disappointing that this eases a goofy Bluetooth Mesh connectivity that requires it to be close to an Alexa device. I thought I was getting WiFi. It was a pain to set up, even though it says easy connectivity. Not sure I’ll keep them as I can’t seem to control the one I finally did get set up. Sengled missed the boat on this one.

Does not work with Google. Also, is not wifi compatible, you have to use the Bluetooth app if you dont have an Alexa product.

I wanted to love these plugs, and for the first week, I did, but then something happened to Sengled and their entire system went down for hours. Since then, there has been nothing but issues. My formerly known as plugs are now showing as switches in my Alexa app and are not staying connected, which is also off because they have disappeared completely from my Sengled app and will not repair. In fact, they will not go back into pair mode at all. Like I said, I wanted to love them, but Sengled lost a customer here. I contacted them for help and they did not reply to my email. I got the generic, “we are busy; figure it out for yourself online,” type of response, so I packaged them up and sent them back today. I hope I have better luck going bank to the Amazon brand plugs.

I now have the T-Mobile Home Internet. This is 5Ghz and my Echo Dot Alexa stopped recognizing my 2.4Ghz smart plugs. I ordered a Broadline 5Ghz plug from Amazon and had to send it back after trying a dozen times to get my Echo Dot Alexa to recognize it. I finally bought a Sengled Bluetooth Smart Plug Compatible with Alexa. Plugged it in, told Alexa to discover device. In about a minute later Alexa told me she found the device (called it a switch rather than a plug). Alexa then told me how to use it. After I plugged my lamp into the device and turned on the lamp, I told Alexa to turn off the switch. It turned off! I then told Alexa to turn on the switch. It turned on. I then changed the name to Plug via the Alexa app, to be the same as my deleted 2.4 plug. Remember, this Sengled device attaches to the Echo via Bluetooth, not the internet; so, you need to be within Bluetooth distance, less than 30 feet or so. Very cool, very easy to install and very highly rated by me!!

Purchased a 4-pack 11 months ago. worked intermittently until a week ago. all stopped responding. previous trick of removing devices and re-adding did not help. Tried again. No luck. Pulled all of the plugs and decided to start over. Deleted devices and asked Alexa to discover devices. Surprise! All of the plugs showed back up despite not being plugged in. Tried for support from Alexa tech support. No help. Oh, tried all combos of app/phone/echo off as well. It did try to pair with my nearby echo after factory reset on plug but just showed the mac address for the plug and alexa stated not paired.

Ive used several of these, mainly during Christmas to turn on outside lights and Christmas tree. I also had to replace another brands switch that went down. So far Ive been very pleased.
