This replaces my Dyson vacuum and does such a better job. We have 2 cats and Im amazed at all the hair we pick up on a day to day basis. Its lightweight, easy to handle, easy to convert to hand held, and easy to empty. Battery life is decent and I love not having a cord to deal with!

I have 5 cats - 2 of them are older Maine Coons who have long hair and at the age where it sheds easily. I also have long hair. I got really tired of sweeping my downstairs twice a day from cat litter, etc. All but my bedroom downstairs has the fake wood flooring (no better way to describe it). In recent years, Ive owned two Dyson Ball vacuums and neither have ever worked well and have needed frequent repairs. Ive also owned a Shark Rocket vacuum and while it was easier to maneuver, the hose just below the floor attachment cracked and duct tape wouldnt cut it anymore. So.... I bought this one on Black Friday this past November. I really didnt care that one of the accessory attachments was missing - hardly use those anyway. Using this twice a day has made my upper arm chronically sore, but still easier than sweeping morning and night. Pros: it did what I wanted it to do and made my daily cleaning a lot easier, (other than the sore arm!). It sits nicely up close against a wall and easy to keep charged. Its also true that hair does NOT get wrapped around the brushes! I got very tired of having to cut out the hair every time I used my other Shark Rocket vac. Cons: One of the same reasons I hated my Dyson vacs, getting the hair out of the canister requires using my hands to sweep or pull it out. All the filters in the world in bagless vacuums are useless when you end up attempting to empty the canister! Plus the cat litter forms a powder that leaves a residue in the canister. Also, hair wound around the tiny front wheels in the first couple of uses and is virtually impossible to get back off. I dont even think they can turn anymore and its been less than 2 months since I started using this machine. The bigger back wheels also squeak now. While the vacuum has plenty of suction power to pick up litter, cat food crumbs, etc., it will only do so when vacuuming forwards. Pulling the vacuum backwards, causes these things to be spit back out. I have yet to take this machine upstairs where I have all carpet. It does fine in the one room downstairs, so Im not sure how it would do running it longer upstairs (still use one of my Dysons up there). So, my review is incomplete. Like I said, its also only been 2 months since I purchased this. This is my first cordless vacuum and I love the cordless factor. Its definitely kept my floors downstairs much cleaner than just sweeping (cut down on need to mop, which I hate) and my bedroom carpet has been much easier to keep under control, because its much easier to use than my previous vacuum cleaners. However, with all the issues already present (especially with the wheels), its questionable how long this thing will last. Well have to wait and see, I guess.

I’m 75 years old and have owned more vacuum cleaners than I care to think about. I purchased another brand cordless vacuum stick last month and really liked it until it died after just a few weeks… Researching for a replacement with better reliability, I found this wonderful Shark Vacuum Stick…. My initial impression was that it’s a bit heavy and slightly clunky compared to the Samsung model I just returned, but after using this baby a few times I love it. It’s AWESOME! This Shark does a great job cleaning my dark brown bamboo floors and the area rugs in my 3000 square foot house without recharging. The Samsung had to recharge after about 1500 sq Ft. Emptying the large dirt bin isn’t an unpleasant experience, and after releasing the motor/canister from the stick I was impressed with how easy disassembly and reassembly went… At my age, dust on baseboards and chair rails, as well as some dirt in corners and other hard to reach areas has become the norm. My Roomba and the corded uprights just couldn’t get those hard to reach areas on the floors, and it’s just too hard on my knees and back to crawl around more than a few times each year. I found accessories on all upright cleaners too awkward and difficult to use…. but I was inspired by the Shark’s light weight and gave it a try… All I can say is WOW! Baseboards, corners and close to furniture and cabinets are now spotless! My house hasn’t been this clean in a long time… Best of all, I’m not exhausted from the task. LOVE my Shark cordless stick vacuum!!! Time will tell about long-term reliability and battery life. Some good news I found in my research… the replacement battery cost for the Shark is about half the cost of a Samsung battery. Next time this vacuum goes on sale I’ll be buying several as presents for friends and family! My advice is buy two or three of these…. One for yourself and one for your elderly parents/grandparents… they’ll love it and thank you for it! UPDATE**** Still going strong at about 4 months use. I ordered an extra battery, which is easily swapped out. Just push a button and the battery releases. I was given two Dyson V6 cordless vacuums by a neighbor who isn’t very mechanically inclined … The Dyson isn’t the latest model, but a comparison: After ordering aftermarket batteries, it was easy to remove a few screws and replace the originals. The Shark is quieter, easier to use, and definitely easier to swap a spare battery. The Dyson is a bit prettier, and may have slightly more suction, although it’s only a one speed suction. Both will get the job done. If you want to impress someone else, get a Dyson. If you want a better all around machine at a good price, get the Shark.

This product is great and the hair does not collect in the brush! BUT, it did not have the dust wand in the box nor was the dust wand included on the enclosed items in the box??? Maybe the ad should be updated.

Liked the cordless feature. Liked the HEPA feature. Liked the 40 minutes clean time feature. Do not like the noise. Do not like the cheap feel of the plastics. Does not feel substantial. Am wondering how long it will last. Priced too high for its flimsiness. Suction is ok. Does trap lots of small particles, but roller and bin area become cloudy. Can wash out the bin area, but roller window stays dusty looking. Cant get to alot of areas to clean. The front window (even after removing the underneath cover) stays a dusty looking mess. Dog hair and fuzz wraps around the small rubber wheels and cannot be removed because there is no access. Needle nose pliers didnt help either with the wrapped hair.. The beater bar was not wrapped with hair, but if the wheels become stuck in place, the ease of pushing or pulling the unit will be dimished. Overall, the bad outweighs the good features. All areas need to be serviceable and cleanable to keep at optimum efficiency. Good job on washability of catch container and filters, but overall machine not so much. Beef up plastics for durability. Otherwise handle with care and never let it drop!

I have had this for almost a month and we have used it quite a few times. It sucks better than my old Dyson and the light helps see where you are going. It picked up dirt and dog hair and also stuffing from torn up dog doys and leaves and other things like this that my Dyson never could. The downside so far is there is a missing dust brush and pet multi-tool, which is partly why I chose this. These are currently sold out at the Shark website so I wonder if this is why we did not get them. I have contacted Shark customer service and am waiting to see what they say. Otherwise, these are $50 if they are ever available again. ****Amazon, change your description so it is accurate as to what you receive!! ****No wall mount so you just have to sort of lean it somewhere, which is not ideal. So far it is ok in the corner we have found for it. I will update if I hear from Shark on the missing tools.

I have always wanted this tool. I love the portability of it and the accessories. The suction is great, it is easy to take apart, to assemble, easy to empty, I love the it goes flat to clean under low surfaces! I love that is is cordless makes it easy to travel around to different areas for cleaning fast! I use it on hard floors and my carpet surfaces as well. Downside… the canister is not very big, so you have to empty it often. The filter on the inside of the canister is small and once it is covered with dust the suction is diminished. . The hole in the bottom is small where the dirt and trash goes up into the vacuum, if you suck anything up there and it is too big and it gets stuck, you will have to take it all apart to get it out. I sucked up broken paper clip and it Clogged up the vacuum. Another thing is the battery life does not last very long you can probably vaccuum two regular size rooms then you will have to recharge it.

You will need to order an extra battery if you use to vacuum entire house.

UPDATE 5/22/22: Its almost 6 months later and I am still very happy with this purchase. Thought I killed it about a month ago by sucking up water (trying to clean, toddler running amok, was right by pet bowl). But I immediately turned it off, wiped out what I could, and left it sitting off and open for several days. It has not shown any issues thus far. (Certainly wouldnt recommend doing this, but just an observation). I still would recommend using this as mostly an alternative for sweeping. It does ok on our very small area rugs, but our traditional vacuum runs circles around this on our rugs in our downstairs family room as far as pet hair. I got this hand held vac to replace our dustmop for our plank vinyl floors. I have horrible allergies, but sweeping seems to aggravate them. That being said, I still put this vac to the test. We have central vac, and its a pain to haul that sucker out for area rugs. We have black utility rugs by our doors, and a white pit bull who loves rolling on them (get a pit bull my husband said, they hardly shed my husband said! Yeah right!). Plus its winter and the salt and debris makes them look awful. The right side in the photos was our central vac. Left side was the Shark handheld on carpet mode, no boost. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised! Now, if you are 2000sq.ft. wall to wall carpet, do I think you are going to replace your current vacuum cleaner with this? No. However, as a replacement for a Swiffer sweeper/ broom, or short matt area rugs, this little guy does well.

The Shark Cordless Anti-Allergen Pet Power has incredible suction, a self-cleaning brushroll to eliminate hair wrap, and PowerFins technology for deep cleaning on carpets and floors. Engineered to emit clean air, Anti-Allergen Complete Seal technology is perfect for those sensitive to dust, allergens, and dander, keeping them out of the air you breathe.
