Awesome flashlight. I have always had theses lights and will never go back. Very bright. Great battery life and love the rechargeable battery. I use this light for everything from hunting to working inside jet fuel tanks

I work in a security department in a hospital and we ordered a streamlight stinger 7 years ago and after quite a few drops and uses in bad weather it still works like a champ. It impressed me so much that I went out and bought one for myself. I really like the HP models of the stingers they throw a nice tight beam with a decent amount of flood light. Just research the different models and types of stingers before you order. I ordered the HP model not knowing the differences but I got lucky because I do like the more of tight beam throw to see greater distances. Just FYI the HL models are high lumen output but meant for more of clearing a room in security or police work and not for long distances. The HP models are for reaching out with a tighter focused beams at longer distances. There also standard which is a decent mix. Also when it has the DS in the title it has a tailcap on off switch. Anyways you cant go wrong with these flashlights! what a tough SOB of a flashlight!

Perfect for law enforcement. Battery lasts about 2, 12 hour shifts with using consistently through out the night. Would reccomend getting a smaller light for your vest when you dont want a clunky flashlight all the time. Over all, worth the money.

This is the best flashlight Ive ever owned, and Ive owned many of them. Ive had several LED lights that were very handy for getting around at night and were remarkably efficient and economical regarding battery usage, but none could seriously replace an upscale traditional flashlight. Streamlight makes extremely good products. I still have two SL-20X models, one of which is more than ten years old and they are excellent flashlights, but the Stinger LED HP sets a whole new standard. The beam of the Stinger LED HP is unbelievably bright and is perfectly distributed in a circle, as opposed to some lights that have rings and dark spots and all sorts of other annoyances. That would be good enough, but the Stinger also projects a diffused and much dimmer beam that covers a wide area around the concentrated spot. Its hard to explain how useful that is until you have seen it. It is roughly equivalent to giving you peripheral vision at night. The beam is much closer to the white end of the spectrum than that of an incandescent flashlight, which for some reason makes everything seem clearer. I have also noticed that when tracking a wounded animal that the blood trail almost jumps out at you. Its amazing. Streamlight has made a major improvement in their charging stations by making the flashlight snap in to the charger, rather than depending on the weight of the light to make contact. Because of that, you can mount vehicle chargers horizontally, on your transmission hump, for example, and the light will stay in the charger no matter how many bumps you hit. Great idea. The light has three levels of brightness that are controlled by how long you hold down the switch. One may wonder why you would ever want less light, but the LED HP is so bright that when tracking, or just casually walking less light is actually better. Indeed, if I were designing the light I would have included an even dimmer fourth setting. There is also a rapidly flashing option that is accessed by pressing the switch twice in rapid succession. Its rather disorienting, so I assume it has a defensive function, though Ive never had anyone try it on me. What the heck, if you dont need it dont use it, but if you do its there. If there is anything bad to say about this light I dont know what it is. Again, its the best flashlight Ive ever owned.

It was charged out of the box enough to use during my 12 hour shift and it worked fine. But the light output itself is insane. I could comfortably see probably a good football field and more with how long this beam reaches. It ultra daylights anything in front of you. I was driving trying to see building numbers at the dead of night with zero lighting, not even moonlight. I could easily see the numbers with this thing. It probably would outshine a police spotlight. The only qualm I have with it is the button is in a weird spot for me so I do have to search sometimes. It did come with two chargers one for the house and another for the car. Its a decently sized flashlight with the grip portion being probably 6-7 and the button/light portion being about 3 roughly. I comfortably wore it on my duty belt for 12 hours in multiple sitting positions with no complaints and Im 63 and 275lbs.

No button on the back end. The ad said there would be one. Boo.

If you ever need to search in the dark, this light is the one you need. My work often involves searching buildings with no power, and this light leaves no blind areas, simply an outstanding choice.

Very bright flashlight. Solid construction. I had to get used to the rubber sleeve on the handle. I had the old ultra stinger so I was used to a total aluminum body. Made it a little more difficult to put in and out of my flashlight leather holster. My only concern is I don’t think they sell replacement LED bulbs for this flashlight.
