> 24 hourI’ve always liked stretch-tite wrap from Costco but hated the box and cutter which always seemed to fail at about 1/4 of the way through...grrrr! I ordered this in order to avoid just throwing out the majority of the unused roll. I like this unit but the plastic composition seems brittle. I feel the need to be careful using it so that I don’t break it but I can deal with it. My only real complaint is that there are no instructions for opening the unit. Many of the reviews mention getting cut while trying to load the roll. I googled instructions and found a YouTube video which helped me to get it open. I was surprised to find the instructions INSIDE the unit. I’d suggest to the mfr that they place the instructions in the box but outside of unit itself.

> 24 hourBought for disabled person, and yes it does cut cleanly, but its hard to press down for me, much less a disabled person.

> 24 hourOne of the best things Ive purchased! You avoid waste (of plastic wrap) by putting your plate or container right to the dispenser wall, pull out the plastic wrap to the edge of the opposite side of your plate or container, flip down dispensers lid to cut the plastic wrap, and the plastic covers your plate without folds and fidgeting on your part to straighten the folds, then you just tuck in the plastic around the sides of your plate. Prior to owning this, I could not imagine whats the big deal! Why would I need a dispenser when the plastic wrap comes with its own zipper-like cutting edge. Well, the first time I used it, I knew right away the convenience! You really dont want to be fidgeting with plastic wrap; you want a straightforward, clean, easy process. You hardly handle the plastic wrap because it just folds down on your plate or container and all you have to do is tuck it in. Its so worth the price and the premium real estate it occupies on the kitchen counter! I also like the quality and weight of the Stretch-lite plastic wrap itself and how much of it is in there that you wont have to reload until maybe a year or two.

> 24 hourThough some people maybe have never ripped their finger to shreds on a serrated cutting blade included on the box of plastic wrap, or gone through the inconvenience of having the end roll back up into the box and then go through the pain of fixing that, it seemed to be something that happened to me all of the time and always when you were in a hurry. With this dispenser those days are long gone. I love this gadget! It works perfectly every single time and takes the frustration out of wrapping items to store for later or cover dishes. Its such a simple design and after installing the included legs I had no problems with the unit slipping at all. It also has mounting holes to mount the unit on a wall or other area if you like. This thing is well worth the money if you use plastic wrap. I did end up having to buy the Stretch-tite Wrap though, as the other brands I had on hand did not fit in the unit, but I found the Stretch-tite wrap to be of equal or higher quality than what I had on hand for a decent price here on Amazon.com

> 24 hourI hate the box with the serrated metal edge for cutting. The amount of time I have accidentally cut my finger on that serrated metal when I wasnt even using it, but rather reaching into the drawer for something else. This solved that issue with a much better looking, safer, and easier to use container. Theres a lock to keep it closed, so youll have to swing the latch when youre using it. Then you just pull out the wrap over your container and snap the lid down. Thats it. No more trying to cut or rip the wrap. This fits the 750 sq ft stretch lite you can get at Costco perfectly.

> 24 hourMaybe its just me but I have to work too hard to make it work. I saw a famous TV chef use it & it looked so easy but not sturdy or easy to keep in place then one must pull out the sheet of film then give the top a little slam (I tried a soft close of the top but that didnt work for me) to cut the film. I keep using it because it was a little pricey and I keep thinking its just me.

> 24 hourI also have bought this as gifts and everyone uses and likes it. Mine has moved with me from one home to another and another and if it were to disappear Id immediately get another one. So today I bought another one as a gift for a foodie that I work with. If you follow the instructions - pull the wrap out and over the container that will be covered, this works well. But if you just pull it off and plan to carry it to the bowl, it wont work. Then you might as well use the tear-off on the box that the wrap comes in. So the trick is to read the instructions and use it that way. There is a separate one for aluminum foil which I also have an also like. In fact, I use that more often as I use foil more often. That is called Wrap Master Foil. Later - Well, it looks like theres no longer a separate one for foil. I checked out the companys web site and it says that theyre out of stock but I think this is permanent. It looks like you can use the plastic wrap type for foil, too. I just checked the two out as I have both and the blades look the same.

> 24 hourI LOVE this product! I used it at my daughter in laws house and came home to order one for myself. Super easy to use, well made. Great value. Plastic wrap is such a pain; this makes it a snap.

> 24 hourIf you like to wrap leftover food before freezing or putting away this is the easiest way to get to your stretch tite (Saran Wrap). I also use it to closely touch cover ice cream between serving too keep it from forming a skin.

> 24 hourFrustration Solved! I have been a Stretch Tite fan for a long long time from Costco with two jumbo rolls. Unfortunately the box falls apart about halfway through. I tape the corners and top but it eventually gets the wrap out of whack and you end up with a 3/4 sheet after a while. This gadget is easy to put the roll in, get it started and you end up with an easy grip spot at the top, pull out what you need and close the lid to cut! I called Stretch Tite years ago about the problems and they said to put in the freezer - and I think I asked about a dispenser but was told they didnt have one. And what do you know they finally do, its great, I would highly recommend it if you have been through the frustrations of plastic wrap.
