Meh! This soap is not for me, I simply cant stand the smell. I am a first time buyer, and have to say a last time buyer. The soap makes good lather and provides good cushion and a smooth shave, but the fragrance is overwhelming to me. As stated by others, there are better soaps out there, that smell much better than this. I was curious because of the stellar reviews, now I have tried it, dont like it due to the sent, so never again. By the way, my wife thinks it stinks, and that is the killer!

Excellent slickness and protection

Love this soap. It is super easy to use to create lather. This is a shave soap not a cream so you must have a shave brush in order to create and apply the lather. If you want a cheap starter brush I recommend starting with something like this

I will be brief. This product has many detailed reviews so I will just say this shave soap is the best I have come across. The lather, the scent and the lubrication are all first class. This will definitely be a repeat purchase for me. Try it and you will see.

This soap performs better than I expected in every way. I am very happy with it and would buy refills again.

Some people like the small. I dont. I suggest trying it out by buying just a puck, and not the costlier bowl, to see if it is for you.

Im very pleased with this soap. Its a little pricey, but is definitely a quality soap and comes with a great container. The scent is very strong, especially compared to my Van Der Hagen soap. Its definitely a great smell though. If you get a bit in your mouth youll definitely know. It works up a good lather. Very comparable to the VDH soap in this category. Provides a smooth shave. No real complaints. If youre looking for a new soap and dont mind paying a little (like I said, part of the price is for the container, which I believe can be reused if you find Tabac pucks, and it should last a while) this is a good buy.

Ive tried several of the hard shaving soaps and this is by FAR the best Ive found. It has a ceramic bowl with a lid. It creates a good lather and has a nice, but not a strong scent. The other soaps are now under the sink.
