I had heard it had an odd scent. It does but a good odd scent. It reminds me of how the old men in church smelled as a child. Great lather and cushion.

It’s a strong scent - too much for me

Ever since finding the Tabac line, Ive come to enjoy the scent of these items, and this does not disappoint. Lathers well for a nice shave.

I saw a lot of love/hate regarding the scent, but decided to take a chance. Im glad I did. My new favorite soap. The dish it comes in is nice, too.

The scent is fantastic, very nice bowl, and the lather is top notch. I will definitely purchase this again and recommend it to others.

In my opinion, the scent is pleasing and the lather is fairly rich. I even bought a new brush to use with it (I already owned a brush).

This soap will last a lifetime, I have had this one for several months and the container is still 80% full. Works really well, lathers creamy and the lather lasts for a long time. The smell is not for everyone, I got used to it and now I enjoy the smell but in the beginning I found it to old fashioned. The smell is too floral, not enough tobacco as I would expect from a product called Tabac.

Doesn’t lather as well as the old formula and the smell is brighter and more ‘chemical’. Vegans might like the new formal as it no longer contains tallow (which is relatively expensive compared to the new ingredient).

Great shave soap. Been around since the 50s. Now I know why. Will always have some on hand.

I was skeptical at first, but thought Id give Tabac a try, since many people seem to like it so much. Wow this is good stuff. Lather explodes on your face like crazy. Ive also heard others complain about the scent. I dont know what theyre talking about. It has a very pleasant smell. And it works 10x better than other brands that cost 2 or 3 times as much. This will definitely be a major part of my rotation. I may even exclusively use Tabac--its that good. If youre on the fence, get a badger brush and give this one a try.
