07-04-2025It jest gives off the tactile qualities and aroma of an “old world” barbershop. As many have mentioned, it is a hard soap in a real ceramic container — not just tin or plastic, the aroma and the lather complete the illusion of not living in our “disposable” culture. A straight edge completes the illusion.

> 3 dayArrived before the delivery date. Very nicely packed. The soap itself had very strong scent which I liked. It lathers very good too.

Will Not Buy Wenger Again
Greater than one weekMeh! This soap is not for me, I simply cant stand the smell. I am a first time buyer, and have to say a last time buyer. The soap makes good lather and provides good cushion and a smooth shave, but the fragrance is overwhelming to me. As stated by others, there are better soaps out there, that smell much better than this. I was curious because of the stellar reviews, now I have tried it, dont like it due to the sent, so never again. By the way, my wife thinks it stinks, and that is the killer!

> 3 dayTabac is simply the best triple milled, tallow based shave soap around. The base scents are bergamot, neroli and lavender. It provides a subdued floral yet masculine aroma. Another reviewer stated 7 or 8 swirls with the brush is enough, but I believe you should go longer. Spend 20 or 30 secs. loading your brush with paste and then spend another 60 to 90 secs. whipping shave lather in a mug or bowl. You will be rewarded with the richest, creamiest, slickest lather youve ever come across. It shaves simply wonderfully leaving the skin hydrated and moist afterwards. For many wet shavers Tabac is the measuring stick by which all others are measured. Used with a quality badger brush and a DE razor you are in for shaving-zen.

> 3 dayReally lathers up quickly, about 30 seconds and its ready to go. Moistens up your beard and keeps it that way for the entire shave.

Greater than one weekI will be brief. This product has many detailed reviews so I will just say this shave soap is the best I have come across. The lather, the scent and the lubrication are all first class. This will definitely be a repeat purchase for me. Try it and you will see.

> 3 dayIf you are new to face lathering, try this soap...its effortless. The soap takes water well and really softens the beard. Very slick lather that makes the shave much easier. Woodsy, very spicy scent; almost incense-lke. A great soap.

Greater than one weekI was using Proroso for almost a year and bought this one on a whim since I was almost out of the green tube. It is definitely more pricy than the other one, but its nice. The smell is very subtle and I tend to have to swirl it more than Id like to get the lather (I do not typically shave everything, but I like to keep a small stache and goatee). The Proroso lathered up better for a smaller amount and I prefer the small and tingly feeling, but this Tabac is still a solid choice. Even though its more soapy than lotiony (are those even words? haha) it is still very pleasant.
