Tabac Original By Maurer & Wirtz For Men. Shaving Soap Bowl 4.4 Ounces

Tabac gets a lot of mentions on the shaving boards and I had to eventually give it a try, I definitely should have sooner. I have moderate to hard water, for example MWF is difficult to lather in my water, Tabac lathered right up and has good cushion and glide. The scent is quite nice actually. Classy, definitely old school, its a complex fragrance with a lot going on. The manufacturers website provides the following notes on the fragrance Top notes: neroli, bergamot, lemon, black pepper, petit grain Mid: lavender, chamomile, geranium, oak Base notes: carnation, sandalwood, vetiver, sandalwood, musk, amber

Best all round shave soap in terms of utility. When I had 3 day growth I tried another very slick cream, the Maca Root from the Body Shop and had to remove it and use the Tabac instead to get a good shave.

Smells good and seems to do the job when shaving head

Arrived much sooner than expected. 8 days from order to porch. Smells amazing. It has that classic, suave grandpa scent. I love it. Lathers super easy. The awesome scent sticks to your skin.

It is in my preferred rotation. Very good lather and scent.

Love it best shaving soap so far. Rich thick lather. Thicker than any other i have tried including MWF. Razor cuts are non existent since using Tabac. Leaves skin feeling moisturized and not dry. Easy to lather cheap and lasts forever.

I had heard it had an odd scent. It does but a good odd scent. It reminds me of how the old men in church smelled as a child. Great lather and cushion.

This product smells great. Rich quick lather with my badger brush. Smooth shave, with a nice post shave slickness. This was a smart buy. I was a little discouraged by the time from order to receiving the product. But then I realized when it arrived today it was sent from England. I live in Florida in the USA. This and Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood are my two go to shave soaps.

Have about 25 soaps now , so it was time to try the great TABAC..Bloomed the soap, and I saw it from my shower..It was bubbling..Never saw that before..Now for the shave..Lathered well..To me, the scent was next to zero..I did, however, get a GREAT shave with it..the after shave was less than exciting, however..So I reapplied with Gingers Garden Havana Cognac..Much better.. For the money, with what I know now, I would pass..

I have been using this shave soap for a few months now and I must say that I dont feel the need to try anything else. The scent of this soap is that of a old-time barbershop, its almost nostalgic. The lather is created almost effortlessly, 7 or 8 swirls with a good brush and you have something that looks like cool-whip. If youre looking for an extremely close shave, and a wonderful scent buy this shave soap. You wont regret it.
