I had the privilege of hearing hearing this before its release, but not the HD versions of the tracks on BluRay. That alone is worth the price of admission!

I ordered the Beatles White Album anniversary issue costing £125 and received a large box with the correct label (stated weight as 2.5kg but seemed very light - only 400 gsm). Looked inside and found a Man Utd boot bag. Phoned what I thought was Amazon to complain and spoke to some scammers who kept me on line and charged me £22 for the phone call! Finally got through to the correct number and spoke to a helpful chap named Feb who sorted things out and finally received correct item 2 weeks later. Apart from Feb, not at all impressed and get feeling the place is run by a bunch of amateurs.

Just so everyone knows, any Beatles albums you see that are Japanese Mini LPs, are all fakes. They never made these CDs in this format. Youve been warned.

Very pleased with the enhanced sound quality of this remix.

The White Album is a masterpiece but Giles Martin has worked his magic yet again for this 50th anniversary edition. The improvement to the stereo sound of Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band was more pronounced than on the White Album but there are some major enhancements - Harrisons wonderful song Long, Long, Long sounds so much better now.

Sound quality on the remixed-remastered 2 CDs is incredible. Treble and bass are extended without being strident or boomy. The sound stage is huge, with lots of air between and around instruments. Its like hearing the album again for the first time! There are differences in the mixes, and they are all for the better, in my opinion. The 5.1 Bluray audio mix is mind-blowing. If you ever wondered what it would have been like to be sitting on the floor of the studio as the Beatles recorded the White Album, well, this is it! All Beatle people MUST experience this! The Esher demos are great, as we see where the finished versions actually came from. The bonus tracks, alternate takes, and unreleased tracks are very interesting, and well worth the listen. I highly recommend this set!!!
