> 3 dayShould have been easier to install but without noticing, the included stencil outline to cut out is not for XL version. As you can see in my attached photo, the cutout needed to be bigger so I had to custom cutout a second time to make it fit correctly. Included for one side are white caps to cover the screw heads, well you better just super glue these on or your cars will brush by them and they will fall right off. Other then that good design, sturdy plastic, cats love it, even if the door is open at times they walk through their hole :)

> 3 dayI absolutely love this product. It worked great for us to put on our basement door and then the door to the litter room. Now we dont have to leave the doors open and it the largest size was big enough to fit my 30 lb cat. The reason I have 4stars for easy to install is because the pattern they give you, you then have to cut out and then trace which can cause it to be uneven. If they just gave you the pattern already cut so you would only need to trace then it would be easier. I did find it took some very careful cutting because we did have the raised panel boards so you have to be very careful. But overall super awesome product and it looks wonderful on the door compared to other plain cat doors. LOVE LOVE LOVE

> 3 dayI’ve been looking for a solution for my cat to access our laundry room for 9 months. Our hallway is narrow and whomever remodeled the house before us unwisely installed a hinged door rather than a pocket door. So to use the hall the door must either be fully open or fully closed. Well obviously we had to leave it open for the cat. Was going nuts listening to my washer’s spin cycle so I started researching how I was going to convert this door to a pocket door. Two things: that is pretty expensive and while I am very handy, above my home improvement skill level. So I did what I always do when I can’t solve a problem, I turned to my old friend google and voila! This Kitty Pass came up. I was like, wait, what? How much? This must be too good to be true! I ordered this puppy up with a highly skeptical outlook. I was happily surprised at how simple the install was. Took the door ff the hinges, traced the pattern and used my jig saw to cut it out. Sanded the edges and installed the Kitty Pass. Then rehung the door. Total labor time was 30 minutes (including gathering tools and setting up saw horses). Cat walked through it almost immediately. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone. Side note: I was worried about installing this on my hollow core door but it was not a problem at all!

> 3 dayThe “framing” is sturdy and has good adhesion. It is smooth and doesn’t snag at the kitty’s fur. Our dogs love to peek in to see what’s happening on the other side. We use the door to the laundry room which is in the back hallway. This is visible from our front room so I can now leave the door closed but the kitties stuff have access to their facilities and food. The dogs don’t get in the laundry room and cause trouble either. Of course my ornery cats really like to play on either side of the “door”, too. It’s exactly what I needed.

> 3 dayThis product has already served its purpose - I have had to open doors for my cats far less frequently than I did before. And it has looked good doing it, but since there are many other competing products at lower price points when I decided to get a second cat door I went with one of those. The materials for this door, are fine but not as premium as I would have expected for the price, the wood is pretty light and flimsy feeling and you will definitely need to screw it into the door if there is going to be any sort of wear and tear on it. The included tape kept it up for about a day, and then it had to be screwed in on both sides. All that said if price isnt your main concern, you have the equipment to properly secure the door, and you like the way it looks then this is a good buy. Otherwise Id expect youll get a similar level of satisfaction from another product for less money.

Greater than one weekSo, we have two points of view here: My girlfriend is ecstatic with this thing. It looks cute, the cats have an easy time getting in and out of their little closet, and I managed to install it with completely burning down the house. I, on the other hand, have a few issues with this product that should perhaps be taken into consideration. The most important concern is quality of materials. This thing is some sort of CNC milled composite that I feel will not hold up to years of daily life. Since Ive cut a hole in my door for this cat portal, Id like to be certain that it will last. Maybe offer a premium wood option? My cats arent huge, but they do have to hunch a little to use the door. Finally; the installation process. The template worked fine, but I would have appreciated a sturdier, pre-cut guide for marking the hole. It is given to you as a low-resolution print on standard computer paper; youre meant to cut the paper and trace the outline onto your door. Considering the fact that this is a mildly permanent thing youre doing, it would have been wonderful to at least have the template printed on a heavier stock of paper. Pre-cut would have been great too! Id rather pay an extra buck or two and have everything be more reliable. On the positive side, installation went pretty easy, despite the concern with the template quality. If youre moderately handy, capable of marking and measuring with some reliability, you can install this without great concern. I also like that this will be easy to paint to match our living room!

> 3 dayWe used to have to leave our basement door open all the time so that our cat could get to his litter, but it was sort of a hassle because it partially blocked another doorway when open, and frequently got blown closed by wind coming through the front door. Decided to give this a shot and were so glad we did. Install was easy, about 20 minutes. Our cat had no weirdness at all about it and started using it immediately - best of all we can now leave our basement door closed all the time. Last time he was weighed he was around 17lb so he should fit in the smaller version, but my wife was worried he wouldnt use it if it was too small - so we errd on the side of going larger. I guess my only minor issue with this is its a bit pricey for what it is, but then again it is pretty unique in regards to the design and definitely provides a nice finished look when installed.
