Thule Load Straps for Roof Mount Racks

Great basic straps. They come with a cover so you dont scratch your vehicle... though I dont usually use the cover. I use them to tie kayaks to the top of my car.

These straps are killer. They hold exceptionally well and the rubber guards are the best that I have found. Ill be on the lookout for these sold alone in fact. These particular straps hold two kayaks stacked one on top of the other on a single pair of foam blocks. At highway speeds, there has not been any budging. A quick twist of the straps before latching them together prevents any wind noise. I trust these two straps and bow/stern lines 100%. Great quality for a superb price. The only thing I would change is the color. Plain black straps would be less obnoxious.

I had straps not to unlike the Thule ones and always had noise problems. I used the Thule straps to strap my two sailboards to the tops of my care for a 400 mile round trip and i heard nothing inside the car. Dont know what the difference is, but there is one.

These work great with our Thule kayak carrier.

Purchased securely fasten my kayak on my existing luggage rack and it has just the right length. Makes it quick and easy to put the kayak on the car and take it off. And while the car is in motion, it stays tight and doesnt make any whistling noises in the wind.

As the roof rack only came with two of these, we needed to order two more. They work well, and I like the plastic part that goes over the metal buckle, so the metal doesnt scratch the car. They are a little difficult to thread, but not too bad. A little difficult to tighten, but again, not that bad. They work well and were worth the purchase.

I have used these for years, and just ordered a new set. Ive towed kayaks all of the place, and never had one loosen up on me. The buckle is very low profile, and I seem to get less wind noise than with other straps. The rubber covers work great, and allow you to toss the buckle over the car without worrying about where it will land.
