Titebond III Waterproof Glue, Gallon
-
Will Venard
08-04-2025Ive used 5 or 6 gallons of this glue now and am very pleased. I am a sculptor and often glue pieces of wood in shapes that make clamping, even with rubber bands, impossible, but this glue will work if I use hand pressure for less than a minute for lighter pieces and longer for heavier pieces unless they are sitting flat. The visibility of glue lines is minimal. I wish the glue would mix with sawdust/powder to make lighter colors for filling holes in wood, but it always dries pretty dark when mixed. Sanding the dry glue will tend to gum up sandpaper, so I have learned to clean up excess glue. Incidentally, the cheapest glue dispenser is a mustard bottle.

> 3 dayThis stuff is so far above and beyond your typical wood glue that it is just mind boggling why anyone would consider any other product. Ive only used the Titebond III so I cant attest to the efficacy of the other types, but I can say with certainty that this Titebond III glue has far exceeded my expectations. Sets quickly, dries clear, incredibly strong bond = satisfaction. Now when you add in the fact that the price is more than reasonable you really are left with absolutely nothing to complain about.

Greater than one weekThis stuff is strong and dries well, but has a bit of yellow discoloration when it dries. I use it for making items to be used with food. Follow the instructions and it works fine, but if you dont it will show...for instance, dont try to use it and let the glue dry when its 40f outside...wont dry properly and will take forever. I am giving it 4 stars for the discoloration when it is dry, and only that, simply due to how difficult it is to clean up the work afterwards.

> 3 dayI have used this quit a bit. I have not had any of my joints come apart with this glue I like to use it with oak and walnut it is a good blend for color when gluing the two together. I also make my own wood filler with it by using sawdust from my sanding. I have found this to make some seamless joints. I do find when used with lighter woods it is a bit dark. glue does need to be used in a timely fashion or you will be just throwing it out. I actually refill my friends bottles with the gallon sharing the cost. If it starts to lump I use it up quickly and give it away to my friends. A smaller bottle would be a better buy if you do not go threw it in a couple months or so.

> 3 dayThis glue did exactly what I wanted it to do: it glued many pieces of wood into one laminated piece of wood. Sometimes I have only two pieces of wood to glue together and this glue works then, just as well. The instructions are clear and the product consistently from bottle-to-bottle is excellent.

> 3 dayI have used this glue since it was introduced and can say, it is simply the best there is for wood. It sets up fairly rapidly at room temperature, and has a good hold by one hour. It is fully cured over night. It is much stronger than the wood and the glue in the joints is never the failure point. One word of warning: do not use this for things like musical instruments that you might want to take apport again. That is not possible. If you glue something with this product it will never come apart again.
