Titebond III Waterproof Glue, Gallon

> 3 dayBuy in bulk. This is one way to do it. I use so much Titebond III, the best wood glue available, that I generally buy it in bulk and fill up the smaller squirt bottles when they are out. This gallon gives me a good way to do this. It seems to have a a good shelf life as I have kept an open gallon for over a year in the past. This purchase was economical and arrived fast.

> 3 dayI enjoy using Titebond III often in my projects and I like using the smaller 16 oz. bottles when spreading the glue where I need it. Buying the smaller bottles can get pricey if used often enough, so I like to buy the gallon bottles to refill the smaller bottle when it has run empty. The glue works very well and I have never had an issue while using it in my projects. Its easy to spread with a variety of tools and gives you enough working time to clamp/assemble your pieces.

> 3 dayExcellent glue, arrived in great shape. Keep in mind that it can take a while to dry if you have a thick glue film. Bought this for a school bridge competition with Popsicle sticks. We didnt allow enough time for it to dry so it was basically an elastic bridge, deflecting as much as six inches in 3 feet before breaking. Overall, a great product. No issues.

> 3 dayHave used this to glue wood-to-wood only so far and it has worked great. Ive glued end-grained 2x4s together (cut at a 45 degree angle to form a frame) and they bonded tightly after sitting for the recommended 24 hours. Also glued (2) pieces along the grain. I wiped each piece first and lightly wet it with a painting sponge, then applied a thin film of TITEBOND III to each adjoining face. One thing I learned is not to waste a ton of glue. The glue bonds better to wood than to itself, so you need very little, just enough to fill in any grain and touch wood on both sides. If you can imagine this at the microscopic level, imagine a wood molecule touching a glue molecule and then another wood molecule on the opposite side, not tons of additional glue molecules. Hopefully that makes sense.

> 3 dayIve already been using this glue for years. Its nice (and A LOT cheaper) to be able to buy it in a gallon bottle instead of the little squeeze bottle at Home Depot. This arrived as advertised and undamaged within the 2 day Prime shipping window.

> 3 dayI built a laminated maple carving bench with this glue. It sets very fast so practice your glue up and clamping and make sure its under 5-10 minutes. After that, this stuff sets fast. Even a mallet wont budge a board after 10 minutes, so be accurate and fast. The things I build with this glue will last a few lifetimes. Im sure the glue will still be around after the wood wears down. This stuff binds rock solid. Make sure you wash off as much excess as you can to save your sharp blades from damage planing or chiseling dried glue. It can wreck your expensive blades bevel completely. I use a wet wash cloth and drying towel immediately after clamping, then a scraper after 45 minutes. This seams to be the magic solution for my work.
