Titebond III Waterproof Glue, Gallon

Go to glue for all my woodworking projects. Except for quick dry and breakable bonds, both of which Titebond has other glues for, this is the workhorse glue. It has about 15 minute set time and I generally wait overnight to fully cure. Much additional processing of the glued parts can be done after several hours of drying.

I use T3 for general woodworking, but its particularly good for cutting boards. It sets up overnight so I can plane the next day. Its waterproof and Ive never had a glue joint failure.

I always come back to titebond. I recently slipped and bought some gorilla wood glue thinking it would be just as good or better.. unfortunately I was disappointed and came right back to using titebond. It’s more expensive but will save you so much time in the end. The glueing stage is so important for any project and you should be using the best product available.

This glue did exactly what I wanted it to do: it glued many pieces of wood into one laminated piece of wood. Sometimes I have only two pieces of wood to glue together and this glue works then, just as well. The instructions are clear and the product consistently from bottle-to-bottle is excellent.

I built a laminated maple carving bench with this glue. It sets very fast so practice your glue up and clamping and make sure its under 5-10 minutes. After that, this stuff sets fast. Even a mallet wont budge a board after 10 minutes, so be accurate and fast. The things I build with this glue will last a few lifetimes. Im sure the glue will still be around after the wood wears down. This stuff binds rock solid. Make sure you wash off as much excess as you can to save your sharp blades from damage planing or chiseling dried glue. It can wreck your expensive blades bevel completely. I use a wet wash cloth and drying towel immediately after clamping, then a scraper after 45 minutes. This seams to be the magic solution for my work.

Provides an almost waterproof adhesion of MDF and Plywood. Permanent bond. If you wish to separate the wood joined with this glue, forget about it. Will not separate without destroying the fibers of the material. Great Stuff!!
