> 24 hourI love this plug. Only two minor things and a suggestion. It is a bit of a pain to setup due to being only 2.4 ghz and having that smart band switching I really like the power monitoring, and something I just want to monitor power, so I would like to set the power on state. Also with power monitoring I would like to see a grouping alart for useage. But honestly, great little plug, easy to use, full of features, and a great price!

> 24 hourOn iOS at least the app for this sucks. Setting up is a pain. It constantly asks you for location services (and makes it seem like it requires it but I was able to set it up just fine if I kept clicking ignore). Trying to put in Wifi was horrible, I needed to switch apps to copy and paste my ID and my password but as soon as you move away it resets both fields. It also has not been updated in at least a year so on iOS it has no App Privacy Labels so it is unclear exactly what the app itself is doing. I just limit what data this app has, I dont have it connected to any other smart home devices since all I needed to do was see my power usage. Which once you get setup, it works fine. But the setup portion is the worst I have seen for any smart home devices.

> 24 hourI had attached this to an insta-hot water dispenser, first left the smart plug remain on 24/7 for a week to obtain a baseline of my hot water dispensers energy usage, then I set it on a schedule to eliminate 10 hrs out of the day, when I wouldnt be needing my HW dispenser and I saw a ±20% reduction in the energy use, so the energy tracking of this smart plug appears to be working fairly accurately. The insta-HW dispenser has a pretty high energy demand to heat/maintain the water to 180°F, so this smart plug is capable/rated for high wattage devices. Highly recommended!

> 24 hourI typically dont write reviews, but this is the worst item that I have purchased on Amazon. The 1st one would not hook up to the internet. The second one finally connected to the internet but continually shuts off after 2 minutes even though I have the timer set for 15 minutes. Dont waste your money on these power monitors.

> 24 hourI picked this up because it could handle the 1500 wattage of my bathroom space heater. We set the heater to automatically turn on with the alarm clock. The best part is I was able to use the app so the heater will always turn off after 30 minutes. If its turned on manually or via the app, itll auto shut off after 30 minutes.

> 24 hourWorking all over the house with no booster in the router. worked on the fridge till I pushed it back against the wall. Fixed that by plugging it into a power strip on the side of the fridge. Freezer and torch on back porch no problem. Power usage very useful info. Probably need to replace the fridge. I have the app on my phone and tablet. the tablet seems more responsive than the phone when you touch an icon. I have 11 of these in use now. most of them the square ones. two fit in a wall socket. The 10 amp rating has been no issue even on the fridge or freezer.

> 24 hourWhat I was looking for from the Energy Monitor is that it drew power from 10:32:15 to 10:32:23 (e.g. 8 seconds). And then again between 13:32:15 to 13:32:28, and then again between 20:32:15 to 20:32:28. I’m more interested that it DID draw power – when - and for how long - as opposed to how much TOTAL power it’s consumed in a day - which is what this does. E.g. Your computer sucked 20kW today – BAM – it’s got that if that’s what you want. I’ve never lived anywhere with a sump pump before and it’s been running a lot lately. Just looking to be sure it runs ‘sometimes’ without making a trip to the basement every day… I had an ice block of the outlet outside recently, and was probably REALLY close to flooding my basement. Woke up to it running and splashing because it couldn’t discharge with the outside ice in the way. If it’s run for more than 15 seconds… I HAVE A PROBLEM, and that’s what I’m trying to solve. So this is great for what it says it will do… and for that it gets high marks, I probably just read too much into it and will probably have to program my own IFTTT ;).

> 24 hourPlease be aware that in a power outage it will not turn back on by itself. To overcome this I set a turn on schedule in the app for every few hours on a fridge. It’s not like flipping a light switch, so it just insures it’s on. I’m no Fire Marshal, but I don’t know why they don’t point this out. Too bad it’s not an option in the app to have it turn itself on every few hours. I have these rectangle ones and the one that covers the other outlet and they all work fine with the app. BTW, set an off time for sprinklers and such and that’s your duration if you are in charge of these things around the house. Pretty cool and easy now to be able to monitor sprinklers (and anything else) from anywhere with just this one app if you toss your old timer and just use the sprinkler wall wart in this outlet wired directly to the valve (with an inline fuse!). You will need one sprinkler wall wart(<$20) and outlet for each zone.

> 24 hourWhile easy to set up, install, and providing great data with excellent remote control; I cannot recommend a product that advertises 1800 watts, 15 amps, and gets to 200F at 1,300 watts. Fire hazard if you have a sustained or high load. For less than 1,000 watts, its probably fine.

> 24 hourBought these for all our Christmas lights. So nice not to chase around plugging and unplugging all those extension cords. Liked them so much, we bought another set to use around the house. Nice to walk in a dark room and just speak, and the lights come on. Or, go to bed and just speak the lights to go off. We travel a lot, so I expect the schedule feature to be a real boon. PS these are rated to handle up to 10 amps. The feature to see the electrical demand and usage allows you to know how much you have added, and avoid an overload.
