> 3 dayLove the capacity & capability of this scanner. The one big negative is batteries. They only last 4 hours and you can only charge them when the scanner is off.

> 3 dayOk scanner, but battery life could be better, charging while in use, and Bluetooth capability would also be a major plus, so I could connect to my car, and other wireless speakers. Programming is not to bad, *if* you use an app. Overall, Im happy with the purchase, but it could be improved a lot in the areas I mentioned.

> 3 dayYou have to know how to program this type of scanner before you decide to buy. Very complicated if you are a beginner. Although a nice scanner here is what I don’t like *The fact that the batteries will not charge when the scanner is on. * Why do we have to push yes to charge? It should automatically go into charge mode when plugged in. * I use to listen to my old non digital scanner steady so I was able to keep it plugged in and automatically turned on when it received power from the vehicle. This scanner does not do that and you have to physically turn it on and off each time.

Greater than one weekThe batteries it comes with need replacing. But the unit is fantastic! I use it daily with no issues at all. Use with chirp to program, makes it so much easier. But replace the batteries.

> 3 dayFirst of all I paid for a New unit and received a used like new Amazon substitute, it will cost you hundreds if not thousands of dollars to get it programmed to work. Then all you have to do is get a PhD in radio communications engineering to figure out how to use the scanner! Amazon would not let me return it-very disappointed.

> 3 dayWorks great for the Indiana SAFE-T Motorola system. I can get the site within this county perfectly and the surrounding counties come in pretty well too. I didnt realize Indiana was so restrictive with their scanner laws, though. Ive actually now got my ham license so that I can legally carry the scanner. Not a big deal, but know your local laws before you buy. Update: I now live in Arizona and this scanner is still a workhorse. I use it to monitor DPS analog, Maricopa County municipalities on RWC and MCSO on the county system. This radio is still an awesome value. I also use the GPS functions. Thats very helpful, just takes some extra time when programming.

Greater than one weekSome advice based on my experience, my opinion only . I am amateur radio operator, so I am familiar with frequency databases, and programming radios to hear what I want. 1. The only way to go is to use the free scanner programming software. 2. sign up up for an account on Radio Reference. 3. Use the software to pull the freqs you want form the RR web-site. Once programmed, the BCD325P2 is great to use. Has good sensitivity. This is the best scanner Ive owned. 4. Invest in extra NiMH batteries and a charger. The BCD325 only charges when it is turned off and uses a timer to prevent overcharging which may result in the built-in charger shutting off before the batteries are fully charged resulting in short battery life. Pay attention ! Its a very good scanner.

> 3 dayI already have the desktop version of this scanner, the BCD996P2, so I decided to get this one as a portable to be able to take in the car, easily move it between rooms, etc. Solid scanner that is capable of every kind of radio system you are trying to monitor. Analog, P25, DMR, etc. Currently working on an issue with the DMR upgrade key with Uniden but other than that, both have been excellent.
