Greater than one weekI got this for school, so I could learn how to set up virtual machines. I use this thing more than I use my laptop.

> 3 dayI bought this as a secondary drive on my new laptop. It already had a WD Blue 500GB, but since it is a gaming laptop and I know I was getting Microsoft Xbox Game Pass for PC, I kind of needed the extra space. The performance is top-notch. Everything is nearly instant. It took me 20 minutes to remove my laptops back panel, 2 minutes to install the WD Blue and screw it down, Then another 20 to replace the back panel. Seriously, it has almost 30 screws. The drive was recognized right away. I performed a quick format and started installing games. My next upgrade will be to PCIe Gen4 WB Blacks, but that will be a ways off. If youre on the fence about buying one of these, no matter the size, just hop on down and grab it. Youll be glad you did.

> 3 dayApparently WD couldnt bear the cost of an M.2 standoff/screw. In a convoluted way that ended up resulting in the computer being damaged after it had to be shipped (it wouldnt have been shipped had there been a screw and standoff enclosed).

> 3 dayAfter testing the M.2 SSD WD Blue SN550 with PCIe Gen3.0 x4 interface, we were convinced of the superiority of the NVMe protocol over SATA. If you need fast loading of games, content creation and processing programs, this SSD is for you. Took a long time to boot up your old PC or laptop? Make a small upgrade and forget about the problem. If 500GB doesnt seem like enough for you, theres a 1TB model in the current lineup. Good luck! Gg wp

> 3 dayWhoa man, this thing is super fast! Making a NVMe drive as your boot drive will change your life. This works beautifully with no issues. Just please be aware of the the key type your motherboard accepts and if you have a screw to hold it down as it does not come with one. Will definitely order for future builds! The quality with the value is fantastic!
