I have used a few pieces of this kit now, with great results. The handles could be a bit tighter, but that is my only complaint about quality.

I needed to order before I knew what size and thread count I was going to need so I got this kit for the variety that you get for the price. Im a DIY homeowner type but Ive never threaded pipes myself before. The poles on our new light fixture were too long so I cut, tapped, and threaded them to the size that we wanted and it worked great.

It was well organized in the box and will use mainly for cleaning threads

I am a hobbyist and this is a must have tap and die set for my garage. Make sure you use cutting fluid to help get the most out of your tool.

Im no longer restoring cars, pulling engines, fixing a mower, etc. But I do maintain a small shop in my garage where I can fabricate and, mostly, repair items. This set is just the thing I needed. I wouldnt expect them to hold up to every day use in a machine shop but, then again, they are priced for the amateur. I used one tap and one die so far with great success.

Typical of chinese quality. I couldnt use any of them. they all hard burs on the machines parts. The steel is weak and was dull after the first use. The female to male fittings didnt even fit together. The threads on the male side were all worn out already. They didnt cut into material and not able to do anything. This is a 100% do not buy.

The first tap I used failed by the 5th hole in 1/8 inch thick aluminum. Weak...

Its good value for the money. It isnt the best set on the market but for a good kick around set these do the trick. The pitch is good on the threads, the threads are clean, and like anything else related to metal working its a good idea to use a decent oil.
