The strip is good quality and is easy to cut for length. Although the glue is supposedly improved, most of the one I received didnt have glue on it so you will most likely have to glue it yourself.

Re-write of review....like others I have had the same problem with leds detaching, they work well but was hoping I had the answer for the adhesive issue, guess not. :( I will gorilla glue it back on tomorrow. Shipped quick and everything came together. Probably didnt need to order the extra add-ons that were suggested (did not use) but did use about six feet of the plain wire suggested for the short run to the power source. Adhesion seems to be mentioned quite a bit in other comments. I used a alcohol pad but you could use alcohol and a clean rag to clean the surface your adhering to....I had to pull off about 3 feet to fix a gap I left under a little section and it pulled off way to easy but I re-attached and it is holding up fine. It was the perfect size for a golf cart roof with about 18 leftover.....cut it and added my plain wire to power/switch and it works great. Very bright!!!

I have bought and installed more than my fair share of LED strips. In boats, RVs, trucks, ATVs, houses, you name it. From multiple different suppliers including eBay, direct sellers, etc. I’m impressed with the quality of these out of the package. Thick, sturdy, good wiring, color is consistent and bright as you’d expect for 5050s. The 3m tape backing always seems to be the weak link with a good install. It just doesn’t last. We’ll see how these do. I’ll buy again though - much better than waiting a month to get a package from overseas.

Using these for my Thule Awning lights on my van. They mount underneath the awning and are not subjected to sunlight/heat, so the tape holds. So far so good. I paired them with a wireless controller so I can dim them. The light output is decent enough that they could be the only light during the night, but they are super bright. If you want a really bright campsite you will need additional lighting.

double sided tape started separating halfway through installation, leaving no sticky side left to mount. One side of the sticky and half of the black was on the peal away layer, and the other half of the black was on the light side with no adhesive left on the strip Had I not brought a roll of 3mVHB home from the shop, the strip would have been worthless. Nevertheless, because I had extra 3MVHB all is well. the color is great, and the brightness, exactly what I wanted.

Worked fantastic although I did get 3M tape double sided just to make sure everything stuck for a real long time haven’t had any problems with that for the last couple of months

I have ordered about 6 of these now. I really like them because their black and not white like every other strip on the market. They stick really good as long as you clean the surface with alcohol or something similar. Their bright and great for the money but the only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the leads are shorter then I appreciate and I have had trouble with 1 strip breaking. Im not sure that it was the strips fault.

I used this for my underhood accent lighting. I just installed, so I will update if anything changes. The double sided tape seemed strong. I used the plug end so I can disconnect if needed and I wired it to a hood pin switch I added so the light comes on when I open my hood. I have the remaining 9-10 I can use for something else with the hard wire ends so Im glad both ends had wiring connections. Day/night pictures attached

Seems like these drained my 12 v batteries faster than other light strips. Still, they are bright and work great. Excellent product.

Half the string of lights doesnt work but otherwise beautiful color and easy to install.
