Well, Im bummed. I read some of the reviews about these lights and noticed the listing said that, due to complaints, they have upgraded the adhesive to 3M VHB Foam Back Tape instead of the red stuff you see in the images. Well, I ordered three of these for a project to light the interiors of some garage cabinets, got everything installed and working, and the next day opened up the cabinets to find them falling off everywhere. I keep a roll of super-sticky double-sided tape that I used to strategically place better adhesive on top of the products adhesive and now they are holding up. Lights work great otherwise. Just disappointed about the adhesive.

Tried putting these on a smooth surface and wanted to reposition the strip and the glue and the foam holding it all came off

Pros: Easy to cut and reattach with separately sold LED strip connectors and wire. Bright lights. Dont get too warm with the proper power adapters. Cons: Adhesive is pretty bad. I have had to use 3Ms double sided tape to hold them up in most areas and that still required quite a bit of that. Overall they get the job done at a cheap price point. If you want to make them Alexa enabled, just get an outlet or powerstrip that is compatible with Alexa.

I recommend this seller and this product I am using these on my semi! Main hint to other buyers use alcohol to clean area before even trying to use these! Buy a strip connection kit if you plan on using this in sections!

Very fragile. Had to buy a new one because if pulled to hard it will rip apart and can not extend once broken

This is a good product but I had to return it. Make sure you separate the 3m paper from the glue since it is easy to pull the glue right off the light if you are not careful. this messed up my install.

Worked fantastic although I did get 3M tape double sided just to make sure everything stuck for a real long time haven’t had any problems with that for the last couple of months

double sided tape started separating halfway through installation, leaving no sticky side left to mount. One side of the sticky and half of the black was on the peal away layer, and the other half of the black was on the light side with no adhesive left on the strip Had I not brought a roll of 3mVHB home from the shop, the strip would have been worthless. Nevertheless, because I had extra 3MVHB all is well. the color is great, and the brightness, exactly what I wanted.

It only worked for six months before it started having segments fail. Now about only half of the led strip works.

I had no problem installing these lights, the double sided tape adhered well. The only thing I would suggest is to place a small amount of clear silicone on each connection to guarantee placement.
