Re-write of review....like others I have had the same problem with leds detaching, they work well but was hoping I had the answer for the adhesive issue, guess not. :( I will gorilla glue it back on tomorrow. Shipped quick and everything came together. Probably didnt need to order the extra add-ons that were suggested (did not use) but did use about six feet of the plain wire suggested for the short run to the power source. Adhesion seems to be mentioned quite a bit in other comments. I used a alcohol pad but you could use alcohol and a clean rag to clean the surface your adhering to....I had to pull off about 3 feet to fix a gap I left under a little section and it pulled off way to easy but I re-attached and it is holding up fine. It was the perfect size for a golf cart roof with about 18 leftover.....cut it and added my plain wire to power/switch and it works great. Very bright!!!

Just what I wanted

I bought two of these to put one on each side of my pontoon boat. We stuck them to the upper portion of the pontoon and then covered in clear silicon to help waterproof and bond them to the pontoon. So far, they are working great. Do keep in mind though that even though they are LEDs, they pull 60w at 5 amps according to their specs. I had to put mine on their own circuit which worked out well.

Pros: Easy to cut and reattach with separately sold LED strip connectors and wire. Bright lights. Dont get too warm with the proper power adapters. Cons: Adhesive is pretty bad. I have had to use 3Ms double sided tape to hold them up in most areas and that still required quite a bit of that. Overall they get the job done at a cheap price point. If you want to make them Alexa enabled, just get an outlet or powerstrip that is compatible with Alexa.

Bought these to put on my boat fit good and very bright

I have purchased many many strings of rgb leds and the adhesive on them were always hit or miss. This strand by Alitove has a foam tape backing which seems to be much stronger then just the normal adhesive glue. This will also give it some insulation if you are planning to put this on metal (I have had other strips short out through the adhesive before). All the leds light up and are displaying the correct colors with the control I tested with. Only time will tell if they are reliable long term, but they feel much better made then many other brands.

I have ordered about 6 of these now. I really like them because their black and not white like every other strip on the market. They stick really good as long as you clean the surface with alcohol or something similar. Their bright and great for the money but the only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the leads are shorter then I appreciate and I have had trouble with 1 strip breaking. Im not sure that it was the strips fault.

double sided tape started separating halfway through installation, leaving no sticky side left to mount. One side of the sticky and half of the black was on the peal away layer, and the other half of the black was on the light side with no adhesive left on the strip Had I not brought a roll of 3mVHB home from the shop, the strip would have been worthless. Nevertheless, because I had extra 3MVHB all is well. the color is great, and the brightness, exactly what I wanted.

If youre looking for bright LED strips, these are not it. The tape on the back is not that great either and that is on a surface that has been correctly prepped with alcohol.

This is a rgb strip with NO controller to be clear. Since I already had a cok controller, this was no problem for me. The 5050 rgb were placed in my fish tank (not submerged) and they look great for its price. The adhesive was actually surprisingly super strong and probably the strongest ones out of any rgb strips with 3m backing on them. Overall, solid product (for now) and havent had a single problem yet. Would recomend
