A classic that does not take itself too seriously, is it campy? Trust me this puts camp into the word campy. However it is what it is and it is a lot of fun to watch with the family. Your kids will love it like we did back in the day and that is what this was geared for, the kids, not us aging adults that want everything to line up perfectly and couldnt make a movie even like this one if we tried, LOL. Leave your preconceptions at the door and just have fun watching these actors play these characters, it is priceless fun. Happy movie watching Folks.

Ok, I remember the TV show and made sure that I was front and center of our black and white 19 TV. And, I also remember seeing this film in our local movie theater one Saturday matinee. And, I was too giddy at seeing my favorite TV show on a big screen and in color, that the details escaped me. So, one night recently, I saw the movie available on Prime. I clicked and sat back. I smiled and shook my head: how did I miss all these things? And, in the first 15 minutes I had a laundry list of mistakes and shortcomings. For example, there is a scene when Batman descends down a helicopters ladder--and for those of us who have rappelled or fast roped down a moving helicopter that is one of the scariest things I did--that I burst. Impossible. Then when Robin overshot the LZ of the yacht they were chasing and Batman sank into the water, what appears to be a shark--yes, it is very poorly made rubberized fake--attacks Batman. I said to myself, well, at the time, that was exciting! So, if you watched the TV show in black and white in 1966, saw this at the movie theater, take a trip, back in time, and sit back and smile.

Ive been a fan of the 60s Batman series since I was a kid but for some reason Ive only seen the movie once or twice before now. Now as an adult I can appreciate it in all its tongue-in-cheek glory. How can any movie not be a classic that has such great lines as Some days you just cant get rid of a bomb?

This is THE ORIGINAL. Intellectual humor, over the top comedy, total silliness and campy story lines. No dark demonic Batman here, just the real thing. After watching it, I remembered why I loved Batman so much as a kid! It was one of the most wordy shows out there and intelligence was required to get most of the jokes, it actually got me looking words up as a child! Nothing like the original series, sad how it has gotten debauched with dark violent themes. Nothing quite like the REAL THING.

I always liked the Batman TV show and I think it was a very smart move to make this movie with the 4 most known villains. Each one had nice parts. Ive always liked the Riddlers laugh and the Jokers as well. I sure wished that Julie Newmar had been in the role of Catwoman. Theres no other Catwoman like Julie Newmar. All in all the movie has its laughs and great moments. This movie is a must have for all Batman fans of the 60s.

This is not a movie with good acting or production value. Its fun because its funny, even though its not supposed to be. All the gadgets are labeled and theres even a big fight scene where words like BLAM! are superimposed on the screen. Its also fun because its a little snapshot of the 60s. Its also fun because Batman and Robin are so gay.

No one can beat Adam West or Burt Ward for their ability to hold their tongues firmly in cheek. These guys are fabulous! This kind of sarcasm is really a lost art, and the scene where some days its just impossible to get rid of a bomb! is just about the funniest thing I have ever seen! Watch Adam West as he is frantically running around holding a cartoon bomb over his head-his physical comedy is amazing. I am sorry he never received the recognition he deserved, or another series in which he could shine.

I grew up with the comic books and then the series Wowd us as kids. Then Batman The Movie came out and we got to go see him on the big screen. I think this version is more clear and better for viewing than even what I saw in the theater all those years ago. The commentaries and extras are great for DC fans. And getting it for $5.00 as an add on to an order I was placing makes it an even better deal. It you like anything amd everything Batman and DC then this is a must for your collection. You wont regret it :-)

I am a big fan of the 1960s Batman series. I finally found this movie. I loved seeing the major baddies ( Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman) Adam West is the best Batman.
