> 3 dayIve got this hooked up to a dim/warm light with Alexa so that I dont have to get out of bed at night as Im dozing off and realize the light is still on. Working great still a few months down the line. Install wasnt the easiest in the world but definitely easier than another I had to return. I would recommend this product.

Greater than one weekExtremely difficult for me to figure out set up. took three tries and numerous hours as I am not tech savvy. No instructions, and bad packaging labeling. Horrible experience. But once I got it it runs an item 2xs per day for a minute as hoped. (would like 30 second duration but only full minute programming)

> 3 dayI was in the market for some additional smart plugs, came across this one and thought it was interesting that i didnt need to install any 3rd party apps to get it running. Setup was really simple, just plug it in and look for the broadlink ssid, associate a email address and wait for your verification code. Then add it to Google Home or Alexa to control it. They seem to be built well, they dont feel cheap as other budget smaller plugs ive purchased before. Overall very pleased with plugs

> 3 dayTheres nothing better that I could find when you account for Google & Alexa compatibility, ease of setup, and price. Ive tried many, and this is now my go-to plug.

> 3 dayI am having additional lighting installed in my Alexa enabled smart home and purchased these outlets so my new lighting will have voice control. I set one of these up and added the skill to Alexa and it works great. Hope my electrician can get these installed so all my pendants and under cabinet lights will be voice controlled. The price was reasonable. Im very happy with this purchase.

10-04-2025Bought this because it was on sale for $5 and because it said No App. The last thing I wanted was to have to set up another account somewhere with another password to remember. Long-story-short: - Im pretty tech-savvy - I couldnt figure it out - I even watched a video that showed you how to set it up - I went through the set up following the video steps and I still ended up with a screen on my Android phone asking me to establish an account with Broadlink - Didnt bother putting it back in the box. I tossed the box, instructions, and the plug into the trash. Life is too short to get stressed out over a $5 plug. Ill stick to the Amazon branded plugs even if theyre more expensive. Theyre always putting them on sale, so thats a good opportunity to buy a few. But do not waste your time on this complicated mess.s

> 3 dayI am a pretty tech savvy guy, but it took me several hours over multiple days to figure out how to get these things to work. The instructions were unreadable, written in tiny font, AND were faded, like the printer was out of ink? I almost sent them back. Now that they are working, the WiFi range is very good, and they do have a high quality feel to them. Just be ready to consult YouTube videos (several) and spend some time figuring out what to do, its very confusing.

> 3 dayI did not think about this, but can not use on a router or cable modem. Since once it turns it off, there is no internet access to enable it to be turned back on.
